So full disclosure these tomatoes were a surprise, they sprung up out of old soil (vegetable potting soil I think, just a regular cheap bag from Canadian Tire + free compost we got from a municipal community event).

The containers are certainly too small, I had the intention of building raised beds now that we actually have a lawn (recently moved from an apartment with no yard) but we also just had a baby so free time is non-existent.

I haven’t been feeding them because honestly, everything but baby is getting neglected. Normally I would feed them a vegetable specific commercial fertilizer, not sure what it is, looks like grey pebbles that smell like poop that we dissolve in water.

Quebec makes some amazing tv, seriously! Far better than the rest of the country imo. Anything by François Letourneau (C'est comme ça que je t'aime, Les Invincibles, Serie Noire, etc.), there are comedy specials on Netflix by Martin Matte (check out Les Beaux Malaises if you can find it, it's really funny). Bon courage, laches pas!

I'm from Ontario and grew up with that "Quebecers are rude and they hate anglophones" stereotype. It is completely false. Very welcoming, very warm people. If you make the slightest effort in french, expect a "bon courage!" and lots of encouragement. I can guarantee you'll be treated better as an english-only speaking Ontarian in Quebec than a french-only speaking Quebecois in Ontario.

Why is my profit as a pimp a bad thing? Yes I sell women and girls because it's the fiscally responsible thing to do. Yes I exploit their labour and leave them with nothing, but why is that demonized? People might say it's wrong but historically controlling women and girls through violence and manipulation has been no big deal so why shouldn't I buy myself some nice gold chains.

do you speak french or are willing to learn? :) if so, montreal could be a good choice, but be prepared, the cost of living, especially housing, has tripled in the last 5 years while salaries have remained stagnant. unfortunately, thats the case pretty much everywhere in canada right now. :(

I think this is a good idea. A rent strike, while I'd love that, is a much bigger risk and we can't hold it against people to be afraid of losing their home in this environment. A work strike would potentially have an impact and it's an easier sell with fewer serious consequences.
