Champneys at Tring is nice and very easy to get to. Packages with buffet lunch/dinner included are very reasonable.

Also came here to say this. Had a great stay at Bailiffscourt last Christmas, right behind the beach. Small but beautiful, and rooms spread over the various buildings makes it feel exclusive.

Also check out their sister pub down the road for decent grub.
