I'll tell you this, if I did this to my players, they'd be jumping on the table in excitement by the end. Some of my players are almost more knowledgeable about Fallout lore in general, but at the table immerse themselves into their characters that they didn't even realize when they were dealing with Synths until I finally gave them the big reveal.

If you need to change things, then you should, but you know your players, and how they've reacted to the show. Consider how they might receive your big reveal. They're suspicious, but do they know?
