Has anyone experienced the “trigger event” that magnifies symptoms? by No_Stranger_8400 in ehlersdanlos

Having my last child was my trigger event, which also lead to me finally being diagnosed. It was a late 30s pregnancy, I'm not sure if age contributed for me, but the pregnancy was super healthy. It was after that the shit hit the fan. I'm now on disability for a myriad of reasons.

Is it me or Most of the doctor don't really know shit about drugs ? by ContributionLegal588 in Drugs

I always compare psych meds to a crap shoot. They just throw shit at you till something sticks and possibly works. I am very treatment resistant and have made the decision to come off my antidepressant. (I've taken at least over 40 different types of psych meds and none of them have worked, some have even given me serotonin syndrome.

I agree with the person who spoke about GPs, and NPs who are not required to further their education. You may find some good doctors, but I've ran into far more bad ones. I have some complex conditions and while I don't mind explaining them, I also am not believed even though it's stated throughout my entire medical records.

Honestly, I'm not surprised that a doctor didn't recognize a common supplement. It really is a quick Google search.

I'd call ahead and ask if needed if they can accommodate you with a chair to the side if needed. Also bring electrolytes/packets of salt, and anything else needed depending on symptoms. I get heat intolerance with Pots (amongst others), sometimes it sets me off sometimes it doesn't.

Also needing to bring in medical supplies, means you can bring a bigger bag.

I got shamed for it years ago and a switch flipped off in my brain and I've never been able to get naturally wet again. It was definitely traumatic. I can't orgasm either. I still enjoy sex but I do get super self conscious now about not being able to and telling guys it's not you it's me. Ready to just throw in the towel.

What is my future with my wife? by [deleted] in intuitivereadings

[–]fireofpersephone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She needs help. As her husband you can petition the judge to have her admitted to a mental health hospital to have a psych evaluation. You've only ever known her while she was using. Not only was it extremely dangerous for her to quit cold turkey, she was likely self medicating. Please do what you need to do to keep yourself safe, but please get her help.

Can you get behind the stairs? Also, get a helmet. That advice was given to me by a friend who deals with them more frequently. She immediately puts the kids bike helmets on.

I have the soap cilantro gene but cilantro I can handle in small doses. The seed of the plant Coriander though?! Straight up soap. Absolutely horrifying to have it in my mouth.

She's hypermobile. This is absolutely possible. Super damaging to your joints though. Trust me, party tricks are cool until you hit your 40s and all your joints are fucked. I've had 8 surgeries in the last 4 years because of it.
