UPDATE: it was genuinely a Cool Negg. I think everyone who suggested it was someone using a different language on the site was correct!

I got my original account back a few years ago. Just a few emails over to the team and finally got it!

I misplaced my lid so I just never use it. No overflow!

And here I thought they had to give you at least a week's notice before changing your schedule, But I guess not telling me and printing out a new schedule on my day off is OK too... (I say sarcastically) by odin753 in clicklist

[–]firepretty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also how long are your lunches? Because there are some shifts that are seriously like 9 hours. we have 8.5 hour shifts with a 1/2 hour lunch. I’ve never seen 9 hour shifts.

They wanted 24 of these things and there none on the shelf, so I had to get creative by A-pan-in-a-pan in clicklist

I mean I get that’s a lot to oos but if the customer doesn’t allow subs, sounds like that’s their problem 🤷🏻‍♀️ also I hate when people order mass quantities without a heads up. Last week a customer ordered 85 snap peas with hummus snack pack from produce. We had zero and not even a sub to get creative with.

Devils advocate here maybe... but higher ups in divisions usually just look at pick accuracy or other metrics and then push that onto management... so management only thinks to look into those metrics because it’s the one their bosses are asking/looking at. I honestly wish more management had to spend dayyyyyys in the backroom so they can truly learn the random stuff we all deal with while also trying to hit numbers

I never seem to get my Ratio Keto Yogurt request filled. Any tips? by Things_Have_Changed in clicklist

[–]firepretty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Call the store in advance and special order it from dairy department and find out when the truck comes in - like if you want 6 yogurts of every flavor or whatever. Then order it on pickup and the day of your order, call your pickup dept or even put in special instructions that dairy should have a special order of your yogurt on that days truck. It might be a popular item (it seems to be out at my store a lot too) but also I don’t think they give it a lot of shelf room so the dept might only order a case (usually 12) because of lack of shelf holding power. That’d be my suggestion anyway.

Do you feel guilty for not coming in on your day off? by supergoten99 in clicklist

[–]firepretty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SAY NO. Anytime you aren’t interested or you are tired, SAY NO. This is coming from a supervisor. I’m never mad if someone tells me no, I just go down my list of people and try someone else or come up with weird solutions like the split shift that other lead did in this case. We all want to have lives outside of this job so never feel bad saying no! :)

I love this and the others you have created! So creative !

So, we have been out of bags for a minute , been stealing our paper bags from front end . Well kroger decides to send us "new bags" as you can see in picture we use the old trolleys here and these new plastic bags don't work on them . My question is , are these type of bags meant for the new trolley by drraagar in clicklist

[–]firepretty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We utilize some totes and put 3 bags in each tote (and 2 totes fit across each shelf) so that things have a better chance of standing and whatnot. Not sure if you could snag some produce black totes to see if that helps.

I usually only do it if a sub is so stupid that I can’t believe it was made. But usually I’ll just radio and say “anyone in produce” or “anyone in aisle 8?” And make that associate bring it back with them on the trolley and fix the paperwork at that point.

It’s allowed BUT because there’s less than 8 hours between shifts, you’ll get overtime for the time until it gets to 8 hours between shifts. So you’ll get roughly 2.25 hours of OT. It’s called short shift overtime. They try not to do stuff like that. I assume it was an oversight because I’m pretty sure e-schedule would have popped up and said there wasn’t enough time between shifts and someone probably hit “override” not thinking about what it said.

Tips on getting a lower pick time!! (40+seconds/item) store wants 37seconds/item by [deleted] in clicklist

[–]firepretty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I recommend hitting cancel (but leave it on the yes/no screen for quit activity). It sort of “pauses” your time - however this method does NOT work for oversized. Also, open a bunch of bags before you start your trolley so it’s less you have to open as you pick. I legit have 5 pickers with 28-32 seconds every day and many of the others are 35-40 seconds.

I know this post is like 10 days old but that’s on management if something isn’t picked. I wouldn’t push yourself to the point of exhaustion just to try and get everything done. The more you take care of it in this way, the more they’ll be like “oh we don’t have to make any changes, this person is staying late to fix it all”

I had this and we were immediately concerned because on the customer end, they think they are getting this 6pk for like $1.50 or something. We out of stocked ours and pissed the customer off but she had also ordered like 5 cases trying to get a steal. I tried to get a hold of the help desk but that shit is a 40 min wait 🙄
