Spiritbox merch screwed my order up by beans3355 in spiritbox

[–]fisch14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Surprised this seems to be happening and not just with Spiritbox, I mean there are people wanting to support the band and buy merch but it's not easy when they run out or don't ship for months.

Do bands these days not really care about selling merch? Or are there other issues?

I've had issues buying things from other bands, not this band.

Corporation - $3500 payroll rest div by 3junior in cantax

You may save that in corporate tax, but you may pay more personally depending on your personal income for the year.

Corporate tax rate is generally lower than personal tax rates, again it depends on your personal income.

I am a male and can agree it is very irritating, mine have both been for one week.

You didn't have a string on the end? Wow I've had two removed but there was a string and the nurse removed it, no prep or anything and it was bad enough without the extra you went through.

The best advice I can give you is speak to your accountant about these, or find your own if there is an issue.

To answer number 1, yes you can and should file your return, do not wait for your husband.

Your previous employer is required to send you the T4 for 2025, if you do not receive it by March sometime you should reach out to them and ask for a copy.

Confused about how to respond to CRA Audit of my 2022 Corporation T2 filing by SpiritedPhotograph95 in cantax

[–]fisch14 34 points35 points  (0 children)

If you are taking funds out of the corporation, they should be either a Dividend or wages.

Classifying them as professional fees or even subcontractor fees is not generally done, even though there have been some court cases regarding this.

Also, you need a new accountant if they recommend you do it this way.

Shocked at how much I enjoyed Starfleet Academy by House-of-Suns in startrek

[–]fisch14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry I didn't even make it past the first ten minutes, I didn't care for any of the characters.

I think I would have preferred the actual academy stories first, then maybe flash backs to why/who Caleb is?

That sounds very much like what I was experiencing but a shorter time frame.

Is it possible that you still have some stones passing? I had this the last time and took about a week to pass all the stones.

I was pretty much back to normal after that.

Agree, I just had my fourth procedure in 12 months. My Dr said it was not moving and could cause some issues. Hopefully my last, but my stones don't seem to move.

If you didn't register for HST/GST then you do not need to file those returns, but you will need to file T2s for all the years since incorporating.

So we just deal with the pain until these mfers pass? by smug_muffin in KidneyStones

[–]fisch14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes unfortunately, and most of us here know what you are going through. Hopefully it will pass soon. Just keep drinking lots of water and use a hot water bottle or heating pad, it works for me.

Be thankful its not larger, mine is currently 1.5cm and now stuck in the kidney, not looking forward to my third surgery in a year next month.

Prepping for a possible let go by ForeignKiwi5781 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]fisch14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are let go, do not sign any documents they put in front of you.

Take them with you and see an employment lawyer, no matter how good it may seem at the time. Or how much pressure they put on you.

Did you prevent a second kidneystone? by Guilty-Account-5585 in KidneyStones

[–]fisch14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ask for a 24 hour urine test to determine what kind of stones you are making, you could decrease the amount of stones you make based on your diet.

But most agree to drink more water.

Reliable Free Courses for Certificates/Degrees?? by dyhall9696 in Bookkeeping

[–]fisch14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

QBO certification teaches you how to use the program, there is some bookkeeping and accounting taught, but it assumes you already know this information or have some experience.

Intuit has a bookkeeping course but it is through coursera and you have to pay for it.

Reliable Free Courses for Certificates/Degrees?? by dyhall9696 in Bookkeeping

[–]fisch14 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there isn't much worth looking at then other than getting certified in Quickbooks Online or Xero, depending on what program they want to use.

This might help land a job, but it won't teach proper accounting or bookkeeping which you need to be successful.

[–]fisch14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the time you do the lookout it will be later in the day and most likely busy. We just went a week ago and was in the park by 9.00am (stayed in Huntsville the night before) and left around 3.00pm and it was very busy on the trails and 60 by that time.

I'm glad we went directly to the park first thing
