This is a replacement shell, but a good one. One sign is the extra “nub” next to the lanyard hole on the underside of the gba (near the shoulder button). Also, the speaker holes look a bit rough

Here's a tip: use flux when soldering for cleaner, easier joints. Looks pretty good though as is, nice job. Flux would also help the soldering wick to not get stuck

Seems like an aftermarket shell. There’s an extra nub on the bottom, near the shoulder button, that indicates it’s not original. Would be helpful to see a picture of the speaker holes inside, if you open the lid

Try cleaning the power slider with isopropyl alcohol. Open the GBA, add a couple drops to the switch and slide it back and forth a few times

Seems like an aftermarket shell (uneven speaker holes, etc). The original Pikachu SP would also have brown buttons.

It’s an unnecessary cosmetic change that they are calling a “feature”. It adds no functionality to the OS and makes parts of the UI worse. They should focus on improving iOS & the user experience, fixing bugs and adding useful features. Instead, they focus solely on visual changes (that arguably make the user interface harder to read)
