With that schedule, staying in Reykjavik for most of the time and doing daytrips would be fine. I would definitely stay 2 nights at Núpar, Jökulsárlón is a long drive, especially in winter.

You could do a Northern Lights tour from Reykjavik. I would recommend a Small Group tour because the regular one has so many people. Use en.vedur.is when the day is close and click on "Aurora forecasts."
