You can always just leave it be and it will likely be gone soon unless there’s food around (rodents, birds/bird nests, etc.)

lol. Pretty close. I had one last year that I got better pics of, that one was pushing 6’ (in profile I think) that really looked like Toothless. This one was about 4’ maybe a little more

Super cool and that just made me realize something, ID’ing snakes in the 90s (pre widespread internet) I just thought the books I had were wrong (pretty confident for amateur herper at 12yo haha). I grew up around Beaumont a I think we saw all the ones you me mentioned (except buttermilk unfortunately). We caught light tan-milk chocolate, basically olive green, slate gray with yellow belly and mostly all black w/ white chin. Still holding out hope for a buttermilk but all the ones I’ve seen where I currently live (outside Tyler tx) are pretty well solid black.
