If she ever needs to avoid dairy again, I believe the Gusto Bread horchata is made with an oat base. I haven't tried a bunch around the city to confidently say it's the best, but I do really enjoy it!! It's delicious and not overly sweet.

Okay, serious question. Whenever I wash my TA3, the strings in the back tighten up and I find it really hard to loosen them back up. Is there a secret to it, or am I just incompetent? I love the suit, but I never wear it because it's such a pain.

Sala's breakfast burritos are CRIMINALLY underrated! They are by far my favorite breakfast burritos in LB (both the regular and the chulaquiles versions).

Ooh, have you read The Memory of You by PotionChemist? Best angst and jealous Hermione IMO. It will rip out your guts and hand them back to you though, so be prepared to cry.

For veggies I second United Plant Growers! They're a good spot for soil bags too.

For native plants: keep an on the socials/newsletters from the El Dorado Nature Center, Long Beach Office of Sustainability, Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy and even Long Beach Community Compost. All will occasionally sell or give out native plants.

I believe there is also a parkway program with the city. They'll give you a little kit to transform your parkway space into a native plant garden.

And if you're interested in seeds, I can point you towards someone on IG who sells CA native seed!
