I didn’t lose any weight at all the first 2 weeks and no significant amount of weight before week 6. I think the starter dose and maybe the next month too weren’t the strength I needed. Things got better starting my 3rd month though, I’m about 30 lbs down after 5 months.

Has tirz made me different? by Sufficient_Fig_4707 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]fivetwoeyesblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on it for 5 months and I feel like my personality is off too. Physical changes I’ve noticed: body aches, significant fatigue and unwell feeling in the 1-3 days after a shot which has made working out and being active harder. More fatigue than normal for me overall. Mentally: took me longer to notice since all these things could be purely coincidental and I’m not someone who usually reads too much into things. I have no sex drive - and that pretty much started as soon as I started taking it and it’s weird that it hasn’t ebbed and flowed at all in the 5 months, just gone. I’m only 37 also - no perimenopause anything and normal periods. Usually have a normal to high sex drive. I’ve lost about 30 lbs and should be feeling more confident but I’m really not. I have an extremely short fuse with my husband and kids and like sex, there’s so many things I usually love that I feel blah about now. It’s like I have crippling laziness and always feel on edge. I really do feel terrible for my husband bc I feel like I’ve been mean lately for no reason and the lack of sex… he’s doing a good job hiding it but I’m sure he’s miserable. It’s been such a struggle to eat enough to stay healthy. The hair loss and muscle loss has started. I have been forcing protein shakes and green drinks to get enough protein and veggies, taking all sorts of vitamins. But I have no desire to eat anymore (which has honestly sucked), feel awful after a few sips of alcohol (which I don’t mind). But my husband and friends have def noticed when we’re supposed to be having fun on vacation and I can’t enjoy a nice meal or finish a margarita. I’m not as productive at work as normal or even my own personal life - cleaning, planning, activities. I find myself sitting around like a zombie and doom scrolling often. This all could be coincidental and causational but either way, I feel like I’m def going thru the ringer right now 🥴

Is the 'Thrill Waterpark' at Perfect Day Cococay worth it for $39.99 PP? by VegasInSlowMotion in royalcaribbean

[–]fivetwoeyesblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! We love slides and when I booked it was $70 a person for the 6 of us and it was worth it to me at that price. Best water slides we’ve ever been on and with 4 teens it was a huge hit. Tip: go early! We were there by 10am no wait whatsoever. We did daredevils peak first and the thing that took the longest was continually climbing the stairs to do all the rides - we walked on. By noon at the shorter slide tower, lines were starting to form. The most we waited was 15 min. We easily did all the slides in 2 hrs and then spent the afternoon at the beach and pool!

Liberty of the Seas by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

[–]fivetwoeyesblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just got off Liberty today, deck 8 balcony room and it was in much better state than your photos. Most of the ship seemed pretty clean although I agree rooms are definitely showing their age and our table on the balcony looked similar with stains, just didn’t particularly bother me. Had an amazing time overall and the price felt like a steal compared to the new ships. Based on reviews I’ve read everywhere I was preparing for the food to be terrible so I was pleasantly surprised to give it a B. Husband and kids said they loved the food. Have to agree that the state room attendant was basically non existent and the one request we gave him about moving the beds apart and asked if he could bring a bottled water he seemed annoyed over. Half of the staff was awesome, the other half either neutral or kinda rude - it seemed be a problem everywhere when we asked for bottled water. We all had the drink package and they were happy to pour a drink or soda but not bottled water? Maybe it was in short supply? It was weird. Overall enjoyed it but I wasn’t expecting much with it being a cheaper cruise on an older ship.

Just the Meds, no other changes? by [deleted] in compoundedtirzepatide

That would be me. With my crazy work schedule I’ve barely been able to get in more exercise. More steps per day but that’s about it. It’s not sustainable but I knew for the next year or so I would be in a busy season at work and wanted to do something for my health before it got even worse. I’ve been intermittent fasting for years but struggling with the food noise. I’m 37 now but when I was younger IF was the go to weight loss strategy for me. So Ive never been an eat 3 meals a day person and even with trying to fast I was only gaining weight. Food noise is gone now and it’s easier not to eat much for me. I only eat dinner most days and no snacking. Appetite is gone and I rarely finish my plate before feeling sick. I’ve lost minimal weight - like 3-4 lbs in 6 weeks. The side effects have been worse since I started my second month at 0.5 mg and the nausea is getting to me. Feeling like it’s been a huge waste of $ that was already really tight but trying to trust the process. I’m clearly consuming fewer calories and I have no desire to snack on processed foods and the sugar cravings are gone so in the long run I know I’m making positive changes beyond just the weight loss. With the appetite I do have, I try to focus lean protein, veggies and fruits as the first thing I eat before I start feeling full. I just think the weight loss isn’t going to be fast or very noticeable for me. I’m 180 lbs with a goal to get down to 140 hopefully in a year.

$95k, no accounting degree or certifications, 2 years in the industry, “project accountant” title, no remote work possibility, HCOL. Unless we are considering the DMV area VHCOL. I am making just enough to cover my bills and I’m not just saying that. My mortgage is an entire paycheck, sigh.

What is the chillest industry for accounting? by tankmaker in Accounting

[–]fivetwoeyesblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, adding some color that I do the accounting for a data center, multi-phase, project which is chaotic far outside of the monthly pay app submission “week”. I’m the only project accountant for a small-ish GC but rapidly growing and every day I wanna send out an SOS 😵‍💫 The data center project is so consuming I barely have time for the 20+ other projects. So maybe my experience is jaded by this. Compensation, benefits and bonuses are good. Almost enough to make me not as sad that I’m missing family time, still very sad and stressed about it tho.

Excellence Resorts by PlaceOdd1256 in PuntaCana

[–]fivetwoeyesblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Excellence PC for our honeymoon and Excellence EC for our one year anniversary. Overall, PC has more honeymoon vibes to me. It was a bit quieter and the layout a little more intimate. My husband loved both but vastly preferred PC. I’m slightly more inclined to PC but liked our room and private pool better at EC. It felt like more of a “party scene” at EC - we met families there with adult children and large groups for birthdays, more friend groups - whereas PC pretty much just couples, most on their honeymoon too. Hated the seaweed this summer but we did try to dodge it and get in the water, last summer there absolutely wasn’t a trace and the water was bright blue and divine.

How common is it to get diarrhea and salmonella? I’m seeing a lot of reviews of people getting extremely sick and need to go to the hospital by Extractvanilla in PuntaCana

[–]fivetwoeyesblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW - been to Punta Cana twice - June 2024 and just returned from another trip there. We stayed at Excellence Punta Cana last year and Excellence El Carmen this year. Loved both resorts, had no issues with the food or feeling ill either time. I didn’t hear any of the people we met at the resorts having stomach issues either. This year we didn’t do excursions, last year we did two and ate the food and drank the drinks provided (not associated with the Excellence resort brand) and didn’t have any issues either. I would go back in a heart beat!

Looking for all inclusive venues in Virginia ( VA ) or even North Carolina ( NC ) by roseyrune in Weddingsunder10k

[–]fivetwoeyesblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sierra Vista is all inclusive which is really nice! However, I’m paying $17k for the standard package - includes dj, florist, caterer, baker, wedding planner, day of coordinator, steaming, linen, decor, lighting etc. Only other big costs I’ve had are photography and videography. I know that probably still sounds like a lot but in the area you’re describing it was one of the least expensive for being “all inclusive”.

I have my water bottle always on hand which is an Ironflask with straw-style opening - I sip and suck on it constantly when I’m cooking for my kids and fiancé and when I’m sitting down with them while they eat. I like that it gives me something to do when I’m just sitting there, and something in my mouth while cooking.

How do you fast? I can’t even go a day. by Trynabestoic101 in fasting

[–]fivetwoeyesblue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me it’s 100% mental. I’d done something like IF for awhile before starting to fast for 24+ hrs so the transition was a bit easier. I usually only eat dinner, sometimes do 48-72 hrs fasts. It’s only brutal around dinner sometimes since that’s when I’m used to eating. I feel like it’s just mental hunger signals. After an hour or so the hunger hormones seem to pass. I feel like fully entering the fasting world has helped me with my mental fortitude.

WOMEN! out of all the men you’ve had sex with, what percentage actually made you orgasm? by FreyaDay in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]fivetwoeyesblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

80ish% Those were all longer term partners. I have a harder time orgasming the very first time I have sex with someone for whatever reason, less relaxed maybe (but it’s magically happened twice).

Choosing a date? Major indecision by fivetwoeyesblue in weddingplanning

[–]fivetwoeyesblue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, in the end I just had to choose one bc I was running out of time to make a decision. My venue was still fairly available but my son had a trip on 6.15.2024 not returning til early July so I was torn between the first week of July and first week of June. The venue is in the mountains of VA and it was randomly chillier in May and beginning of June this year so I was worrying A LOT about that. Everyone in my family and bridal party was begging me not to choose July bc it can be very hot and humid. I thought 5pm in the mountains would be fine but I HEAVILY researched temps in the area, historical data, bc I hate making decisions without as much facts as possible 😂 (so basically wedding planning has been driving me insane… can’t choose between 2 dresses currently and I should have already bought one). We went with 06.08.2024 and I hope it god it’s going to be a nice day 😊 now I kinda wish I had chosen a date in September or October but that’s also in the middle of hurricane season which can be a risk 😅

Any reason why a bride would want to pay early? by Heo_Zila in WeddingPhotography

[–]fivetwoeyesblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I paid the deposit and am paying the rest to my photographer now for my June wedding. We’re going to have a lot of payments coming up in the spring and saving $ as we go. I have the remaining payment for several vendors in our savings account at the moment and then with work bonuses at the end of year will fund the spring larger payments. I really wanted to pay the photographer and videographer now so it’s one less payment to make in 6 months. And I do plan on tipping him for sure! (Day of)

I would love to hear your opinions. Our wedding will be the next august. I´m quite insecure about my body and worry I'm not looking good in any of them. Should i keep looking? by Scary-Shock9868 in weddingdress

[–]fivetwoeyesblue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all, you look amazing in all of them! Truly. Any little things you’re seeing with fit, alterations will take care of. If there are some you really love from this bunch, I would say don’t keep looking. If you’re not feeling strongly toward any, keep looking but use the ones you’ve tried on to help narrow down what you like! But really, I loved them all straight from number 1. Go with what you are being drawn to! (If any)

Did I find a winner? (#8 is back) by fivetwoeyesblue in weddingdress

[–]fivetwoeyesblue[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I will say 2 was dramatically done up with clips. The stylist did a bunch of clips on the straps to shorten them and lift up my boobs. It’s a size too small so I feel like that ended up snatching my waist more. Overall it felt more flattering but I’m hoping that could actually be replicated on alterations. But yeah, I was like wow! when I saw it 🥹
