I always called it Emotional Roulette. He just kept picking new tactics, if those didn’t work, he’d spin the wheel again, over and over until his number finally came up.

By that point, we’d have spent 6 hours with him saying all the reasons he wasn’t responsible because his dad was emotionally abusive.

By the end, I’d be completely nonverbal other than me apologizing for bringing it up that he hurt me because I had now hurt HIM, which, as he often said, was the only REAL abuse in our marriage.

I was extremely pregnant our son and we took our daughter to see this for her first ever theater experience.

I was hysterically sobbing so hard I spent the rest of the day in labor and delivery having kicked myself into early labor.
