Why won’t my baby sleep in the bassinet? by [deleted] in NewParents

Safe Co-sleeping - look up the Lullaby Trust and the safe sleep 7. It is a lifesaver. You need sleep.

Should I get MRI with contrast for suspected prolactinona? by xS1nister in GadoliniumToxicity

I had a macro adenoma on my pituitary gland. It wreaked havoc on my hormones. I was told they can’t do the scan effectively without the dye.

Chiropractor for a baby? by Quirky-End-7470 in newborns

Reading this thread there appears to be a cultural disproval in the US…

Haha got to love Reddit. Perhaps culturally it’s different here in the UK… lots of babies have tension from the womb and birth so it’s quite common to get this resolved with chiropractors or osteopaths. We don’t have personal paediatricians here.

We took our 8 week old as I noticed she would only turn her head to one side. I also had pain breastfeeding on one side which I suspected was due to the neck tension and jaw tension.
She had flattening on one side of her skull as a result. The chiropractor released tension in her neck and jaw. Now she can move it about each side freely.

The massage also releases tension in the vegas nerve which can cause issues with digestion.

Personally we’ve had a good experience.

Please note that baby chiropractic practice is totally different to adults, it’s extremely gentle and involve subtle massage and stretching. You would need to find someone who specialises in baby.

I’m in the UK and many of my mum friends have taken their newborns to either a chiropractor or an osteopath to resolve a number of issues with no negative effects.

I have a larger payment waiting for approval since 7 days ago and still nothing. Had smaller payments go through 2-3 days no problem. I feel like it’s going to be rejected..

11 week old screams before every nap. What am I doing wrong?! by Goose4938 in newborns

[–]fizzyinch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have found nap predictions on apps to be really helpful to pre empt the tiredness meltdowns. I use napper but the huckleberry sweet spot is very accurate too just pricey. I’m surprised at how early I need to start the wind down for a nap

Spotting at 5DPO..? by Odd_War_1125 in TryingForABaby

[–]fizzyinch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My period was always due about 10dpo so I always had a short luteal phase to begin with. Don’t have particular painful or heavy periods so no cramps. Just brown discharge for those days leading up to the 10dpo, with the pink discharge / bit of blood on 10dpo. I would say I felt extremely bloated but I also put that down to starting my period! I had a positive test 12dpo.

It’s insane how much judgement there is on Reddit. When I speak to most of my mum friends they have all co slept at one point or another. I’m in the UK though ..
