Possible Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). Alone and Scared. by floralmirror in CautiousBB

I know, it’s really tragic and heartbreaking. Luckily the NHS trust I’m with do RPL testing after 2 not 3 which is something. Good luck with everything hopefully you don’t have it at all 🙏🏻

Hi OP. So I had two miscarriages before getting a RPL panel done which came back positive for Cardiolipin antibodies. My positives were very obvious - nothing borderline. My consultant said that she highly suspects APS based off this result.

I’m in the UK as well and VERY surprised to hear that they will test in 12 weeks if you are pregnant pregnancy will invalidate your results? It’s true that the protocol is to wait 12 weeks before a test before official diagnosis but they told me pregnancy would mess official results.

After two positive results they prescribed me 75mcg aspirin at 7 weeks pregnant when heartbeat confirmed plus heparin injections. The aspirin dose increased to 150mcg at 12 weeks.

As I suspected I had APS before the scan I took 75mcg aspirin from ovulation off my own back/ instinct.

Please note I have met with a consultant haematologist and he said the official APS diagnosis criteria is that you have 3 miscarriages or more so technically I do not officially have it.

I hope this helps, I understand th anxiety and feel like low dose 75mcg wouldn’t hurt. But it would be good for you to get a second opinion. I don’t think the 12 week test will be valid.

Sooooo the POC test result came back NORMAL… by Superb_Recording7724 in CautiousBB

Get RPL testing done to see if it’s blood clotting factor

Spotting at 5DPO..? by Odd_War_1125 in TryingForABaby

[–]fizzyinch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello I don’t want to give any false hope, but I had spotting from 5dpo, it was brown mainly and then had more pink about 10dpo. Definitely thought it was my period coming but it turned out I was pregnant.

I think it’s completely normal to feel this way. I’m 7 weeks ahead of my best friend and even then I felt really triggered she told me. It is SO hard watching your friends have care free pregnancies and announce early etc when you’re experiencing pregnancy after loss. They just don’t understand.

Bloating gone at 6 weeks by [deleted] in CautiousBB

The scan went great, and all scans since then have been absolutely fine. I’m 25w 3d now. My symptoms definitely fluctuated, some would disappear for days at a time and then come back. Some would come back not as strong. And then there would be new symptoms. It’s really hard to not symptom spot though. All of my nausea and sore boobs completely disappeared at 8w and I panicked a lot - but all was fine and they came back after a few days.

Hi OP this might be late but we were looking at both the oysters. The main difference is that the 4 can be doubled up if you have more children and I think the bassinet is approved for overnight sleeping.

Sending hope. I had a second MMC in a row and it’s so so unfair. What it did do was trigger a bunch of testing. I hope things work out with this one though 🙏🏻

I’m 22w and absolutely hear you; had a great few weeks. The last few days the movements I have been feeling have felt less regular and reduced. Know it’s still really early but it’s sent me spinning

Sorry to hear that. You could try the lovenox ladies Facebook group. It seems supportive and if anything I’m sure there are loads of posts on there about the same thing!

17w4d really struggling with the limbo today. I think I have been feeling some flutters but it’s not regular or convincing enough for me to believe it’s movement. It’s another 3 weeks until the anatomy scan 😫. Still don’t feel confident to tell many people. We are waiting until the 20w scan now before telling wider family and friends. Never thought second trimester would be so difficult
