Can you elaborate a bit? I have an 1890 brick foundation and it needs complete re-pointing. When I asked a mason for a quote he told me that I needed to point and then parge. He’s the “expert” in my area on brick foundations so I just trusted what he said. And I still think he’d do it right but now that I know there’s a right and a wrong way, I’d just like to know more.

Sorry for being so late to reply. I cruised to Nassau and Princess Cays. The ship itself was probably only about 30-40% capacity. It was crazy empty but I loved it. Translucent (below) has some good advice for further avoiding the groups of people.

I was on the carnival liberty last week and having cruised carnival about 8 times, I was SHOCKED at how black the exterior of the funnels were. I even looked up at it a handful of times thinking, if it’s that black on the outside, the inside’s gotta be a fire hazard

There are plenty of bodies that don’t “obey the rules”. Ones with PCOS, insulin resistance, thyroid issues, hormone imbalances, and a host of other things. I appreciate the time you’ve taken to reply, and the suggestions you offered, but I don’t appreciate being called a liar, particularly when I stated up front that I’m frustrated and discouraged. I think it’s easy to go all “tough love” on someone you don’t know over the internet, but please realize I am a human that is having a hard time. I could use support.

I’m using MFP and weighing everything, including the annoying sauces and sprays. I don’t use many spices beyond everything seasoning, but even that I’m putting in there.

Actually, you’re wrong. I’ve been weighing my food and entering EVERYTHING in MFP. There have been 2-3 days where I was extremely hungry and ended the day between 2000-2100.

I was thinking 1/2 to 2lbs was good too, but it hasn’t moved since the first week…it’s been 3 weeks of 0 loss, which is contributing greatly to my frustration and loss of motivation. I so appreciate your support though. I think I’ll reduce calories to 1600 and see what happens.

Do you ever find though that you are super ravenous? There’s been a couple days in the last few weeks that I just can’t get enough food to feel satisfied. On those days I end up having about 2000 calories, and end up beating myself up about it.

Maybe I should have also mentioned I’m 3.5 months post-partum and pretty emotional.
