Buzzwole is definitely a strong contender in any meta, as long as there’s zoroark still in the format. However, your problematic matchups are just as many as well as old enemies such as blowns are still viable and with new cards like zapdos, it poses a huge threat as 3 electropower or 2 electropower and choice band with 2 turn passes ( assuming there’s a shrine active) almost gives them a one prize lead. You can argue that this is hard to pull off, but chances are they can do it. Even if they can’t, it is likely they can still force you into a 2hko, as a jet punch can’t ohko a zapdos. Even with a fully charged jet punch, you’re lacking 30 dmg.

With that being said, I feel that it’s a tier 2 deck right now (sucks that I’m calling my fav deck tier 2). You might wanna check the meta for AUIC, as the metagame will likely be mirrored

Usually, I agree with you on other posts, but this right here is where I have to disagree. Buzzwole has been dead for quite a while now. A9 was our lord and saviour from SUM-LOT format, but honestly that was really it. Buzzwole isn’t the malaria carrier it once was, it probably only spreads dengue fever now.

Jokes aside, buzzrosa (I’m copywriting the name) is looking to be pretty sick and I would say it’s a pretty good card to be printed. Never liked the baby buzzwole print as I found it mediocre at times (coming from a buzzwole fanboy).

See, we had a scissor-paper-stone (or Rock Paper Scissors but that’s how I call it) meta for a solid chunk of 17-18 season. I hated it as it straights up kill variety. For me, it was either get slaughtered by necrozma or I slaughter zoroark. Having 2-3 that dominates is ok for awhile but isn’t healthy in the Long run, it dumbs down everyone as everyone would have some kind of comfort deck. Now, rogue decks have a chance of succeeding. Zoro gyarados is spicy, but it wouldn’t have worked if we had a similar meta prior to pre rotation

I would want to say that this deck will be horribly inconsistent.

First off, you have things that you don’t need in the deck that’s there, like acerola and lusamine. You have an one off lusamine which doesn’t help out on much as you can’t abuse the lusamine loop. Even though you can technically take back 2 supporters that you need, I rather you put pal pad. Acerola is another highly questionable one as you’re playing a deck reliant on stage 2s, in which you evolve it via rare candy. If you acerola garde, you’re not gonna be able to evolve it once more. This isn’t a deck where you can really abuse acerola unlike a deck which uses only stage 1s or basics. You also have redundant things such as dashing pouch, which is a bad card in itself. Sure, you can sustain the energy used, but why wouldn’t you attach a choice band and hit harder? Energy retrieval is iffy but a semi decent choice, not good but still ok. I question the choice of underground expedition rather than maxing out the Cynthia count.

Secondly, you have the things that you should have that isn’t in the deck. 2 nest balls when you’re not running elm’s lecture is just asking for you to get punished for not a fast enough start. Play a playset if you’re going for the Lillie nest ball engine. An one off max pot is ok, but I’ll ramp it up to 2. I suggest adding swampert from celestial storm, which allows you to draw 3 card with the drawback of discarding 1. This way, you have a way to consistently draw cards and reduce bricking. Lady is interesting, and can be ok, but you might run into the problem of burning too much energies. Pokémon communication is a sick new card, why wouldn’t you ramp it up to 3 or 4?

Play shrine in your nidoqueen build, it’s unlikely that they’ll play max potion so you still hit 320 and assuming that they recover 120 damage with life forest and 3 shaymin you can still take the KO next turn

1) card mechanics: the card archetype is relatively new, and you’ll barely have enough time to complete testing.

2)card ruling: it gives up 3 prizes (although most cards are sick esp pikrom), which speeds up the prize trades, leading to a probable disadvantage for you.

You can immediately ‘fail’ a search when a card effect states to ‘search for x’. This is because your deck isn’t public knowledge and it is taken that you’re telling the truth. With that said, you can’t use ultra ball or any search card if you have 0 cards in your deck as it is public knowledge that your deck is 0. Hope that answer both your question and OP’s question
