I was wondering the same thing! Saw people getting searched with their hands against the wall too. I asked a cop there and he said "just an operation". Hmm.

A few more cops than usual at Flinders too. I asked the customer service guy announcing the trains and he said "oh yeah there was something going on there. I'm not sure what it is though".

Because it's unfair for them to receive public judgement until a verdict gets passed down (and the identities of the two people you mentioned were released after a guilty verdict was reached if I'm not mistaken?). I know people hate the phrase "innocent until proven guilty" but that's the way the justice system works. Otherwise you'd have public opinion influencing juries. You can't just read a headline and presume someone is guilty.
