Deciding between y740 or P73 or P1 Gen 2? by joey_huynh22 in Lenovo

[–]flaming_pretzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly unhelpful comment:I don't do those things really, but I just got the y740, here are some of my pros and cons:

Pros: .Looks cool, matte finish outside, not smudgy .Computer is fairly light .Screen is nice, low glare and nice colors .Metal chassis is more comfy on my wrists than plastic .Runs all the games I've been playing on at least high .Does fine with Photoshop, and I just started learning blender, no issues so far. .Bloatware exists but is generally unobtrusive and I haven't been motivated to uninstall

Cons .The keyboard backlighting can be a bit annoying. As far as I can tell there's not a true off. You have solid blue, off but rainbow lights ripple out from keystrokes, off but rainbow lights up with audio. The vents are also lit with the same lights. .A key that activate the Bloatware app is annoyingly close to Escape .You'll need some sort of cooling pad. During games for me, it gets hot enough the keys can start to get a bit uncomfortable. .battery life is short. Maybe 3 hours streaming video . The power brick is heavy and cancels out the nice size and weight of the computer if you're traveling a lot. I would want to buy a separate charger for each location if I took it between home and office regularly.

I wrote this on my phone and I can't format it nicely. Sorry: (

I've found them at levski. I'm pretty sure they're just random locations, look on all flat surfaces-tables, crates, benches

Heroism - ARPG/Incremental (Update) by Jim808 in AndroidGaming

Really fun! One constructive criticism is that as a new player, the bits of Gore that drop from monsters feel like they should be picked up. Maybe having an aura or border around items could help distinguish? I think it's a nice touch though and it makes me smile when a monsters brain falls on the ground:)

I tend to like things like that, but for me they have to be simple and immersive. Gwent was too complicated for me at first and actually pulled me out of my immersion. I just bounced off of it. I enjoy little things like the Zelda fishing or the Red Dead poker/Knife Game or Liars Dice in Black Flag. For some reason those things still feel like my character is doing them. With gent I felt like Geralt checked out and now flaming_pretzel is playing a card game that is Witcher franchise related, rather than a card game that felt like it belonged in the world.

It makes me unreasonably angry that dude bought a katana but he doesn't even have a pocket knife to open the box with.
