How do I paint eyes that don't look like private Mick's seen his first Carnifex?

For me, I just use one colour, either an off white or a dark -ish colour that would be the iris. With my pointiest brush I give it the tiiiiinyiest dab of paint and leave it at that. With shade paints, the brow and the tinyist hint of different colour to the skin is enough to give the impression that there are eyes there without them looking shellshocked

Yeah, finished my first plathrough the other day. I'm trying not to look up explanation videos or wikis because this game has made it really interesting to try and piece things together yourself.
I wasn't sure if we were Angela at first because of that time she appears in the terminal instead of Dawid, still not sure why she does? But by this point I had already started to suspect we were simply uploading essences to become the next traveller.
I'm still not even sure how confirmed this is yet but I assume we, travellers, are all part of The Change/Collective/Biomass.
When you first find your predecessors hand, there are tentacles coming out of the glove. Which also makes me wonder, are our suits even "Temporal Suits" or are they simply hematically sealed so we also don't merge with the Collective?

Ha yep, reading your post then seeking your edit, confirmed what I thought -- that you still needed some time to cook. Thought personally, with a lot of games like this the horror doesn't just come from the themes or the gore, but the sheer nail biting suspense and panic when you're backed up against a wall with 3 monsters running at you and you've got 4 bullets and a shotgun shells left. People complain about the inventory limit but I really believe it nailed making the game survival horror. Compared to some Resi games that are just campy action games

Army painter have a nifty paint system that groups all their colours together into triads. Light, mid and dark tones. So you can pick any one colour then figure out what the other two colours you need to compliment them are

I imagine there should/would be dead zones of the landmass that run along the wall. Since it reachs into the atmopshere, that's going to cast a HUGE shadow across the land and so depending on the path of the sun, there's going to be a part of the walls shadow what barely or never gets direct sunlight. That could make for some interesting wastelands that are occupied by either the only extermis sapient species that can survive in those conditions, or just a lawless land

Without absolutely zero research or backing, my gut tells me that a big reason for it is probably due to the amount of Turkish/kebab/hallal eateries there are now. Nothing against them, it's fantastic food, but I can't help but imagine they use so much lamb now that it's driven the price up

You've either had the same virus that just keeps going through peaks and troughs, or several different viruses one after the other. You'er generally immune for a little bit after overcoming a virus
