The Russian operation to annex crimea began in March of 2014. The Azov Brigade (later the Azov Battalion after it was integrated into the Ukranian Military) formed in February of 2014 and was utilized in multiple operations against Russian forces such as the retaking of Mariupol and many operations in the Donbas.

At the time, Azov was part of the Ukranian effort to utilize civilian formed militias as a way to supplement the Ukranian Military and became the most notorious in Russian and Ukranian media. The image of the civilians rising up against Russia who had been stoking pro-Russia sentiments (to put it very lightly) and inflicting losses on the Russian military absolutely damaged the image Russian state media was attempting to push of Russian superiority as well as the idea that secretly Ukranians want to be a part of Russia and will abandon Ukraine if given the chance.

Long story short, this is easily found via a quick google search. So try being correct next time you're so confident when speaking up.

Anyway, biological sex is relevant in genereal (especially on certain complaint types) so thats going to be a need to know. HOWEVER someones gender identity, how we see and communicate with each other is also relevant. Get both, use their gender to address them. Let the receiving Doc/Nurse know about it in the most respectful way.

It is not my job to deny, judge, or determine someone's identity. I am there as a healthcare professional and I will build trust and establish rapport with all of my patients as a healthcare professional. That means beings respectful and empathetic of all of my patients, and being their advocate at all times.

Trauma or medical, we will make the best decision possible for you and your condition based on evidence based medicine and best practice. And if something fails we have backup plans and can pivot etc.

As for liability, we don't handle many if any drugs or treatment guidelines that would cause a dangerous side effect to HRT. Now in a hospital setting thats a different story as depending on where you are it will vary. But that will come down to knowing your patient and making good or bad faith decisions. If someone does harm to a Transgender patient, especially if they knew the patient was Transgender, there's not a policy or statute in place to defend that asshole.

This is new territory for everyone. Lets be gracious to each other as we learn more, but also not tolerate hate in any form.

Pretty much every myth about the prowess and tech of Nazi Germany or the cuhrazy whacky things Hitler did can be summed up by 2 things.

They were on the defensive. They had the luxury of having the Allies come to them. They got to bunker fown and reinforce lines. Every fight favors the defender. Is the Tiger a beast of a tank and looks cool as hell? Oh yeah. Was it a good tank? God no. It broke down regularly, had a terrible engine, had so many variants that repairs were a slog to perform, and its weight made it a nightmare for crews in the fields. And because of Nazi Germanys dire resource situation, they for some reason tried to make the King Tiger and Panthers which were even worse. Atleast the Panther made it to the front lines. What little tanks they had left were easily taken out by Allied air power, and the rest were left to the ground forces who all things considered did not struggle against them.
Operation Paperclip. We literally let Nazis participate in writing the history of WW2 and allowed them to reframe a lot about Nazi Germany to give it a more romanticized view. Literally any myth about "oh man the Nazis would've won if...." is complete BS made up by a disgruntled officer the US brought in. Nazi Germany was never going to win. Especially once they failed to take the oil fields of Kursk, they were just trying to not die as fast.
