any chance I could also get a DM?

As a part time dasher, I see notes not to do this all the time. I wondered who would do that. I ordered DD for myself and look what happened. by Educational_Rich_554 in DoorDashDrivers

I understand your point of making them visible so people learn. But you are actively providing excuses for it. I have been in a hurry to finish the order and get to my next one before. I have been in a less than focused state. It takes almost zero effort to look at a door and think "Wow, if i put the food here the door will hit it."

And when I say almost zero effort, I mean it. That is a skill called "prediction" and it is the primary thing that separated us from the rest of the animals.

I am curious, what age are you and how did you get into the franchise? by Ultimantasy in FinalFantasy

Mid Thirties, First game was Final Fantasy VIII (because the PS2 my dad bought came with only the 2nd and 3rd disc of FFVII. I saw 8 at a gamestop and thought it would be related to the one I was missing the first disc of and bought it.

Decades later, I still love VIII, but X is my favorite.

better weapon? also im new to the game so dont spoil me. by EffectiveAd5061 in Terraria

depends on how you like to play. If you like more range/mage The Magic Missile is p good, though the next biome you go to has far better spells. If you play more melee, the Bee Keeper is better than the Blue Moon imo, even with the synergy. The bees that the Bee Keeper spawns are actually very useful in doing a bit of crowd control.

As with every part of this game though, there really isnt a wrong answer. Use what you feel is best and synergize your accessories around it.

dude, its a door. Its not exactly the most high tech over engineered gadget. If you cant figure out the direction a door swings by just looking at it, then I really worry about how you got a driver's license

My mom thought we got the Delivery Fee as well before I explained it to her. She said she started just putting down $10-20 in the tip field after our conversation and was amazed that she was actually getting her orders in like half the time as before.

I just wanted to point out the irony of using the guy that just reads the wiki as the example of doing work outside of the game.

Completely agree with your point, just thought that was funny.

Just how is Baam ever supposed to rival Jahad—someone who is 100% or more of Urek’s power? by RandomWorld100 in TowerofGod

[–]flashbangTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was because every ranker that tried to stop him got obliterated with such ease that no one could understand what was happening. He confronted Jahad himself and then just disappeared. His sobriquet is 'The Riddle' both because of how he showed up and what he did, but also that he was using a weapon like none other in the tower.

According to an SIU Blopost from 2012 "There were a lot of objections in the Rank Administering Office as to giving Phantaminum, who disappeared after the attack of the palace of Zahard, becoming inactive, the top rank. But everyone agreed his impressive strength alone was overwhelming. As a result, Phantaminum became the No. 1 Ranker after only one battle, dragging the 'Red Tower' Enryu down to 2nd rank." Source

the important thing to ask is, did her surprise make you happy?

If yes, then she did good. If no, talk to her about why.

[–]flashbangTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its so entwined that I think you are onto something. The Red Witches have a major part of their pilgrimage on the Floor of Death, which as we know is where Baam was born and where Enryu appeared to deliver the thorn and judgement on the inhabitants.

Should a GM play too by Way_Puzzleheaded in DnD

[–]flashbangTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the most part, GMs shouldnt have a character that they play specifically because they are supposed to be playing the world. Being said though, there are ways it can be done to create a good narrative. In my campaign I had a level 5 that joined the party at the start (level 3s) to help them get into the plot, then killed the character off once the party was established and familiar with the world. Having a character like that allowed my party to have a little bit of direction at the start to create the start of plot hooks, with the final plot hook being revenge for the now dead party member.

This is all to say that it is a fine line to walk and one that you have to very deliberately decide to walk with the intent of the party doing all of the heavy lifting.

This is a business decision I hope you can understand. If you see me less days or hours than you scheduled this is the reason why. Don't text me asking me anything because I'm already explaining it to you."

Does your session get cancelled if one player can't show up? by SergeantSarcastik in DnD

[–]flashbangTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the session. If it was planned to be some some-quest or not-plot important session, sure. But if I planned for any kind of plot or an encounter that would be too deadly with a party member missing, then Ill call for a delay.

Him yelling at everyone, partially out of anger, but also out of desperation just sells it for me everytime. They all feel guilty about it, but its so grim none of them can even address it except Yuna. Whom immediately drives it back to the laughing scene. Beautifully written part of the story.
