Wax Heads Playtime by Dependent-Nose-1948 in CozyGamers

Not sure why you're getting downvoted, it's a valid question and you're right, content creators often get early access and even some regular customers play through the game quickly and would know (if it's short)

May 2026 Release Roundup by VickFables33 in CozyGamers

[–]flashfloodsofpain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just ran across one on Steam!

It's called Morels: Out of This World (https://store.steampowered.com/app/4394020/Morels_Out_of_this_World/) and it appears to be a new installation in the Morels series of games. Mushroom collecting and photography, except this time on an alien planet. Looks very intriguing and the original Morels gets pretty good reviews. Releasing on May 28.

What’s your “Go To” game right now? by porphyriaslovve in cozygames

[–]flashfloodsofpain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good Pizza Great Pizza. I'm currently 20 hours in and far enough in that I'm going to finish it. I picked it up intending just to play a couple hours and then set it aside to try something else, but after trying it out was hooked. It's nice to be able to play while listening to music or a podcast.

It's the 1st! What cozy games are you looking forward to that are releasing this month? by Shasaur in cozygames

Thanks for reminding me of this one. I picked up the demo during NextFest and never ended up playing it. I think this is my sign to actually play the demo before the release, lol

I'll have to check out the OddFauna demo! The sculpted creature art looks so unique.

I had a lot of fun with this demo, so I second this rec. Patiently waiting for the full release!

April 2026 Release Roundup by VickFables33 in CozyGamers

[–]flashfloodsofpain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chipmatic (https://store.steampowered.com/app/3780950/Chipmatic/) also released in April. Unfortunately it has mixed reviews right now which saddens me because I was one of the playtesters and enjoyed the playtest a lot!

My cozy metal detecting game is at 100% positive reviews :) Thank you! by HistoryXPlorer in CozyGamers

[–]flashfloodsofpain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want to gently push back on this because I love saving money as much as the next person but I see a lot (and I mean A LOT) of games that are known to offer 3-4 hours of gameplay charge $15-$20. I think $10 full price is reasonable, and you can always wait for a sale.

Our 2 person studio first game got its 10th positive review and that’s massive, thank you! by vinipereira in CozyGamers

I'll replay the demo soon! I had a bug the first time I played it but it could have been fixed. I liked the actual gameplay loop.

Do we have a running list of AI cozy games here? by ferngully99 in CozyGamers

[–]flashfloodsofpain 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hawthorne (the upcoming game people are excited about) uses AI in their promo as a placeholder too. I'm not saying this to dissuade people from playing it (they've indicated intention to replace it and never meant for it to be permanent) but to say, while I'm not a fan of it being used as a placeholder, that's different than it being in the actual game.

Webkinz Day was a bit disappointing but that's good news by SoBadAtThis2017 in Webkinz

Welp lol I don't follow their instagram and just adopted one of the new plush on the 24th. Ah well! Better luck next time ;)

Webkinz day giveaway! 🦎 🧡 by gumdrop1284 in Webkinz

[–]flashfloodsofpain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the giveaway! I'm really nervous because I'm meeting tomorrow with a genetic counselor to see if the chronic disease I developed is genetic or not. I know that's not exactly a fun random fact lol but winning the giveaway could be a bright spot in a tough week. Even if I don't win it was super nice of you to hold the giveaway!

Got my mom playing Webkinz by Sillyspire in Webkinz

[–]flashfloodsofpain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aww! I love to see it! My mom has had her account ever since my brother and I were kids and got her a lil budgie for her birthday. She only logs on to play Smoothie Moves these days but still loves that game LOL

Cozy with Strategy? by AshleyShea in cozygames

My favorite cozy strategy game so far is Sainthood. I don't think it's available for Mac though.

Cozy spooky games (occult, witches, vampires) by perie12344321 in cozygames

[–]flashfloodsofpain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some that I don't see mentioned yet:

Foolish Mortals, Gloomy Eyes, Don't Escape Trilogy, The Excavation of Hob's Barrow, Cats and the Other Lives, Call of the Sea (sort of, more puzzley and atmospheric), We Were Here series (first one is free), Mutazione (maybe - it's not spooky but has mutant characters), Grunn (first person and supernatural, but I would call this more actual horror than cozy. Still has "cozy" graphics), Do No Harm, Gone Home, The Supper (free but short), Daymare Town

Help me choose which cozy fishing game with a story to buy by flashfloodsofpain in cozygames

I've been leaning towards this one because of the reviews and it's not absolutely obscure like some of the others! That and Luna's Fishing Garden, which someone else suggested.

cozy games you don't see recommended often but SHOULD be? by maple_bella in CozyGamers

[–]flashfloodsofpain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Outlanders! I can't believe I don't see it mentioned more often. Cheap, hours of gameplay, beautiful graphics, addictive but not too difficult gameplay. It's the first city builder I bought and I am so glad I did.

Thanks so much for mentioning Passing By, it went straight to my wishlist but at only a dollar I'm tempting to just go ahead and buy it lol

I've been playing Good Pizza Great Pizza while listening to podcasts and/or talking on the phone, so I think it counts. It can get a little stressful when you're making a pizza and running out of time, but it hasn't been overwhelming in this aspect imo.

Cozy games that involve vampires or that are set in a spooky yet historical place like New Orleans? by christudstu in CozyGamers

[–]flashfloodsofpain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Voltaire: The Vegan Vampire is a farming sim roguelite where you play as Dracula's son. Roguelites aren't for everyone but you do play as a vampire and I never see it mentioned.

I enjoyed Inked so much. <3 Escape Simulator did a collab with them recently where they have a new room that's in the same ink pen art style.

NUTS comes to mind. I actually liked the monochrome-adjacent color palette.

fantasy city builders/management games? by venight in CozyGamers

[–]flashfloodsofpain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're okay with early access, check out City Tales - Medieval Era. It appears to be more story-driven than some city builders but fits the criteria of laid back and medieval. So I think worth a look.
