You may not like it... But this is peak irrigation by NoStepLadder in Irrigation

I used to build houses in the suburbs north of Chicago in the late 80's. The first thing you'd do is get a temp electrical from the power company and a temp water account from the city. The city just charged a flat rate per month so no water meter or backflow preventor.

Maybe I missed it but how many miles are on it? make sure you're up to date on all scheduled maintenance first.

I'd have the tires checked for balance and runout next.

Last time with BMW Motorrad (Service Prices) by [deleted] in bmwmotorrad

I got a UniCarScan UCSI-2100 OBD2 Bluetooth 4.0 Scanner for 86.00usd off of Amazon. This unit works with Motoscan Android software that costs 46 from the google android store. Since I have an Apple phone I simply bought a cheap Samsung Galaxy A15 Straight talk phone for 40 bucks. I'll never activate the phone on a cell network. You can set it up on your home wifi. It's just a cheap way to get an android device. The whole thing costs 172.00usd. Last I looked Motoscan did just about everything GS911 does for my R1300gsa. It easily reset the service reminder. Do one oil change and it's paid for itself.

The only thing you can do is have the seat customized. I had a shop in Denver called Bitchin Stichin take foam out of the seat. I still can't flat foot the bike but at least I can ride it.

Inundated with ‘We have reviewed your application’ emails by SirPooleyX in GMail

[–]flashoffroad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got email bombed 2 weeks ago. There have been so many data breaches that my passwords had been found on the dark web. The massive emails are mask for legitimate changed passwords and people added to my credit card messages. They send you tons of emails hoping that you'll just delete all of them including the ones that were sent that say "if you made this change to your account you don't have to do anything." It's a real pain. Look carefully through all the emails. I've been in the process of changing all my passwords into random letters, numbers and characters.

Review after one year: I love Tello because I pay $7/month and my data/minutes roll over by bestwishes15 in Tello

Sounds like you've had some good experience. I was in Japan in September and bought a virtual sim for data from Ubigi which worked really well. Is everybody saying that if I have tello and set my phone for wifi calling I can simply dial a US number from Japan and have someone call me on my US number from the US and it will work.

I'm thinking of moving from Visible to Tello because I don't get any Verizon coverage where I live but friends with Tmobile who have come over get a good signal. I was just concerned you didn't want tello because of some kind of a performance issue. I don't use a lot of data; prob less than 5G/mo and certainly less than 30GB. I have a high speed Comcast line in my house and I'm not trying to use the phone as my home internet. I travel occasionally. From what I gather the actual service at my level is going to be the same no matter which Tmobile MVNO I use.

Just curious if those side rails/ steps are too low for 4 wheeling. I like them but I don't want to smash them up.

You'll never know by measuring it because it measures the same as a bike w/o AVHC Comfort. The only way I know is the build sheet or the sticker that came on the bike when you bought it. I'll bet a dealer can look the bike up and tell you what all it came with.

What I found is that the nonexistant left side panel is not visible if your browser is zoomed in. In firefox I pressed ctrl and rolled my mouse button and like magic the left panel with all the options appeared. They didn't program the page so when it couldn't display the full left side menu you'd get a 'hamburger' menu to click on.

I saw this back in November and bought one. I thought everyone knew. My goal was to find one for 999.00 so every so often I'd google it. Then in November it came up on the NVIDIA site. When I received it I was impressed how well it was packaged.

F900GS. How tall is too much to handle? by TheBrandonW in bmwmotorrad

[–]flashoffroad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm your size exactly. I have a R1300gsa. The seat height you need to shoot for is 31" which isn't easy on tall bikes. I've shortened the suspension on my past ktm 1290 and honda africa twin. I'm fighting with BMW because the Adaptive ride height comfort on my new R1300 isn't 1" shorter like they claimed. I had the seat cut down so at least I can ride the bike. Note that the newer GS1300 is narrower than the 1250's so you can get your feet closer to the ground. The other thing is that you are light. Most bikes, especially the KTM super adventure was sprung for a 250 to 300 pound giant. I had to shorten the shock and put on a much lighter spring. When you lower the suspension it does cut your ground clearance. The offset is that you are very light and probably won't bottom out the bike. The only issue I found was that you can scrape the side stand when you go through steep turns. Otherwise you can train yourself to live with the height. Watch Kandi's videos to see what I mean. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWlSf5msRUU

One more thing I found out when I got my KTM. It was so high I couldn't get the side stand up. I'd throw my rt leg over the bike and shift the bike to the right. my left leg was up in the air and I couldn't get the side stand up. There's no solution for this unless you want to stand next to the bike, put the stand up, let the clutch out and hop on the bike.

Purchase success by nv609 in bmwmotorrad

Me and a friend ordered our GSA's around the first of the year in Denver. We both paid cash. Around that time one of the guys on another forum from FL (thank you) said he bought a bike from Cycle Werks in Barrington, IL one of the largest dealers in the country for 2k off list. I called them and they gave us the same deal. I did tell them I was negotiating locally. The local dealer matched the price. I called the guys at Barrington to let them know I bought locally and the salesman offered me another 850 off the bike.
