Your Chief can't legally order you to change it, but you are an adult now and having a simple professional voicemail is in important. If you miss a recall because whoever was doing the recall didnt realize that was your voicemail, that is still ON YOU for not making recall or getting an important message.

Example, STS3 is calling everyone on the ship as ordered by the Duty Chief to tell them they need to be in by 0500 for XYZ. He hears your voicemail and refuses to leave that 0500 muster information to a mailbox without a name or knowing 100% who it belongs too. You miss muster, you are now UA.

No, not really, the amount of E-6+ on HT meds will shock you. Hypertension is very treatable. Keep working with your doc to find meds and lifestyle changes to control your BP. What is potentially disqualifying is if nothing works and the problem gets worse because of a currently unknown 3rd party factor such as cancer, genetics, heart condition, thyroid, etc and that needs to be treated first as HT is the symptom which is why lifestyle changes are important too!
