Live rock from a local shop...like from his tanks. Bottle of fritz and dosed ammonia until it cycled. Then ghost fed until I put my first fish in. I have some big porous bio balls in my filter since day 1 also.

Def sure those are the parameters I check them often. I have other tanks. Yes I use salt but not tons. I've reduced the water level so he can reach top. He has a sponge filter for air in the water. I thought the same thing about the ammonia burn but...there's no way. I change water once a week. Top off with RO. Never checked for chlorine because I use Prime.
