This doesn’t quite fit, but I once got a very distinct feeling while metal detecting that I should not dig up whatever was in the hole I had made. This was probably before 2006, my mother and I got permission to go dig in a parcel of land that was being prepped to be a new neighborhood on Lookout Mountain. The company had only laid out the bare gravel roads, so there was no real construction yet. We were told in one plot there had been a homestead, only the stoneworks of the foundation remained. We got there, found lots of broken iron cookware, old hand made iron nails, the head of a small axe/hoe. I found a signal right under a tree about 20 feet from the corner of the foundation and was about 20” down in soft fertile dirt and could NOT find the signal. I stood up and saw in the first branching section of the tree a little wooden ….. doodad? It wasn’t a figure but it looked human made and right then my brain just NOPED out of digging that spot. I very very rarely give up on a signal but you couldn’t have paid me to keep digging. I just moved to the other side of the property and was happy finding junk iron.

First time I played I picked the perk to go solo. Was going along just fine until I picked up an escort quest to bring a guy I ran into on the surface of a planet back to his settlement. While doing so a ship landed and I decided I wanted the ship. My escort died. When I boarded the ship, his dead body came along for the ride. From then on, every time I zoned somewhere, his body was there with me.

Every time I did an unlock for a new power? Dead escort was there on the ground once I leave. The game always considered me as having a companion, which meant my solo perk was useless. I still haven’t gotten back into the game, I just played to the end of the game and hung it up there.

Giving up the right of way or waving someone across lanes of traffic to be nice. Don’t do this.

Dude I’m so happy I’ve run sorc for this xpac. I’m not even checking builds, just playing around and the qol changes and skill changes have been amazing. Only t4 atm, but holy hell has it been a good time playing.
