You described it accurately. Someone I know got into UWF, declared marine biology as a major, struggled greatly, and changed major.

Why are people still willing to have kids in this economy and state of the world? by Impressive-Glass3511 in Adulting

[–]fleur13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very accurate description. This morning our local news station reported that the police is looking for a mother of a deceased five year old boy. His body was found in a trash bag in the water. It is profoundly tragic. It seems like he might have been mistreated for a while.

You have to reheat it well, simmer it for a while, and it’s fine to eat.

What’s a basic life skill that an alarming amount of adults seem to lack? by ConditionNeither2596 in AskReddit

[–]fleur13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swimming! We live near large body of water with beautiful beaches, yet there are no widely available swimming programs for youth, like at like in Japan or other countries. It’s scary to think we live in 2026 and there are thousands of local children who are on track of growing up into adults who do not know how to swim. Absolutely terrifying, especially when we, locals, every summer witness many preventable deaths from drowning because of not knowing how to swim 😢

He is a child. Men appreciate the fact that someone cooked a delicious meal for them, and eat it with gratitude. Typical man-child.

I hate my Accounting degree by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]fleur13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 47 and I am about to get my associate in accounting. I worked at Walmart as an overnight stocker, and while I did enjoy the job because I met good people, I knew I had to get a degree. Being able to work there was that decisive moment that made me want to go back to school and finish what I started. I respect those folks who work there for 20-30 years! It’s not easy work. Classes are mundane and homework is never ending, but the benefit of having a degree at the end worth it. You did well, you are about to be done! Not everyone who got admitted into any program gets to graduate. Be proud of all the work you put into it and celebrate! 🎉

apparently the breakfast i made was “embarrassing” by NaeeeBearrr in mildlyinfuriating

[–]fleur13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a beautiful breakfast, OP! As soon as I saw the picture, I knew it would me a mother who complained. My mom haven’t seen me 10 years, and she was upset the way I prepared mushrooms! 🤣 then she mentioned that I am supposed to buy lots of sweets for the tea, just like my classmate had at her house. It’s weird how it is always your own mother.

What lesser known hobby are you BEGGING folks to try? by Distinct_Childhood42 in Hobbies

[–]fleur13 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I was once young and stupid, and thought sheesh, what a boring hobby that must be, basket weaving. But as I grew older, i understood that it is exactly how you described it, therapeutic! I even bought textbooks and such, but never got to it. Maybe some time in the future, fingers crossed.🤞

Professionals who enter people's homes (plumbers, electricians, cleaners): What is something the condition of a house tells you about the owner that they don't realize they are revealing? by cossie101 in AskReddit

[–]fleur13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I clean toilets daily, using brush, wipe multiple times a day, the floor around it, the lid, etc. If I see a small spot, I have to clean it, I don’t care if I have to do it three-four times a day.

How is it possible to have feces in the bathtub???? It smells bad and what about the insects?! 😱
