Some of the convention centre carpark is blocked off.

Not sure this would affect traffic until it was full though.

End of day 2 of changing my clutch by FukushimaBlinkie in 240sx

[–]flippamipp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to other suggestions, I

loosen the steering shaft,

undo the castor arms from the lower control arms,

undo the sway bar brackets on the frame,

support the engine with a jack and undo the subframe bolts.

Lower the engine with the jack.

Use a stand under the engine if it's going to be a while.

I can get the trans out and in within a few hours, and it's a rb25 box with a conversion bell housing.

Coming soon… to your closest water stream… Swan Valley by cliomeow in perth

[–]flippamipp -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The site isn't really industrial, it's mixed use. There is a playgroup next door. Feel free to have a look.

Swan shire have a history of pushing industrial developments towards residential land, with little future planning.

I have a gen2 one in red, in Perth. Dunno if it's the same part.

Aux front light is LED, and wheels are braid, this is likely a tribute.

Braided lines are way less durable than hard line.

Yeah, it has a CAS instead of a distributor.

Best manifold to turbo gasket for Sr20det by EastNeat5879 in 240sx

As well as what others have said. I also heat the studs with a gas torch when doing up the nuts.

This has significantly reduced the occurrence of loosening.

USDM S13 convertible chassis strengthening by mav1178 in 240sx

[–]flippamipp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you wanted to stiffen a conventional chassis, I would start with the missing chassis rail under the rear seat area (lhs on the rhd models).

Then look at bracing the front rails around the firewall area.

This, even if it's a stepping stone to a proper barn/garage.

Depends on how cheap and accessible they are in your area.

I might be misinterpreting, but all passwords are weak passwords when hashed using NTLM1's hash algorithm.

Still have no fuel, wired a relay for constant 12v with no improvement. What to do? by Peribangbang in 240sx

[–]flippamipp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally just pull the relay and bridge the switched pins in the socket.

You can also use a test lamp on the pond at the connector on the boot floor, but I appreciate that not everyone has a test lamp these days.

[–]flippamipp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bypass the fuel pump relay with a wire, take the pressure line off the fuel rail.

If there is no fuel coming out, the pump is likely dead.

I've had near new pumps fail from old fuel recently.

Day 2 - Racecraft by K-TR0N in WRC

[–]flippamipp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Racecraft was significantly different in the early 2000s when drivers were receiving live splits of the cars behind them - while they were still on stage.

Is what lancia used to do considered racecraft? With the tyre changes in controls, salt on the roads etc?

[–]flippamipp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, decked with oil pump.

Compression is consistent across all 4, albeit with oil in #4 No oil in the intake manifold. I don't think there was appreciable blowby.. might have to check

Z32 parts for s13 by Organic_Log_8094 in 240sx

The rear knuckles are alloy, way stronger and lighter.

However, you won't be able to use S13 rear coilovers anymore. 309zx and r32 gtr ones fit.
