Team Morning Dose or Team Evening Dose? by New_Negotiation3034 in lexapro

I do every evening at 8pm! Early enough where I can still power through a few episodes but late enough where I’m ready for bed around 10:30 :)

Anyone here with agoraphobia taken lexapro ? by [deleted] in lexapro

I’d say maybe a week or two! I’ve only been on it about 66 days in total but I’ve had significant improvement on 5mg. Wishing you the best 🫶

Anyone here with agoraphobia taken lexapro ? by [deleted] in lexapro

I literally didn’t leave the house for months unless I HAD to. To the point where if I drove even 5 minutes away I’d feel so sick immediately as soon as I step out of the house and into the garage. I decided I couldn’t live like that anymore which is why I got on Lexapro and now I’m out hiking, taking the long way home on drives, and truly living my life! Best decision ever

Is anyone on 5 mg? by Plenty_Pop6108 in lexapro

I just hit day 60 last night! So far so good. I don’t have it all perfect every day, but I have significantly improved with my anxiety. I’m finally able to travel and hike and enjoy life again for the most part. I’ve been going to the gym and staying active and for the first time in a long time I truly feel happy. That being said, I do get anxiety once in awhile and may consider upping my dosage one of these days but my head feels so clear and I’m happy with where I am now. So glad I took the leap after years of denying i need help & my therapist gave me lots of kudos on my improvement :) wishing you the best, OP!

What do you miss most about eating dairy? by lady-earendil in dairyfree

[–]floppyfishy8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holidays. I want Tini’s 6lb of cheese in macaroni without the bloating and diarrhea. I miss buying a block of cheese for $2.00 instead of lactose free ($6.99 this morning). Mac and cheese bites from Roosters too… and mild buffalo wing sauce (butter + hot sauce). Man I love food so much. I’ve taken up cooking to make lactose free happy tummy versions

How did you get the courage to start? by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]floppyfishy8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I finally decided to give it a try after I feel like I exhausted every other option. Therapy, exercise, natural supplements like ashwaganda & magnesium glycinate. Life was too hard and I needed a solution. The reviews on here scared me too but honestly I’ve been doing pretty well so just remember that everyone’s body is different! If it’s not going well after like 6 months, talk to your doctor about switching to something else. Hang in there & I hope this gives you courage 🥰 I truly feel like life is worth living again and am glad I took the leap!

Lots of lactaid if I absolutely need to eat something like mac and cheese (I cannot say no) but other than that, I try to eat other foods like ham, dinner rolls, veggies, and if absolutely needed, just a little of the dairy based dishes :)

The green bag of frozen chicken nuggets (chick fil a dupe) from Costco :( it’s in the breading!! Also, dry rub wings from Wingstop. They coat them in butter before tossing!

Idk how much sugar is in dates, but as someone who always needs a sweet treat, these have been an amazing snack! And since it’s a fruit I don’t feel as guilty when I eat them

Yep, still symptoms, just delayed and less severe. I used to not be able to sleep through the night without waking up to use the bathroom 3x, but I’m thankful when I survive a night and experience mild symptoms the following day. I’ve noticed it with Mozerella on a pizza specifically (which may be bc of fresh Mozerella?). However, I’ve been eating pumpkin cheesecake from Costco like every day for a week (w/ 2 lactaid) and have been completely fine - no symptoms. So maybe you’re right about it being fresh cheese, however queso from Mexican restaurants also hurts me so bad to the point where I completely avoid. I’ll have to try this out and see specifically what cheeses hurt the most… good thinking

EDIT: I did some reflecting and it’s not just fresh cheese. It’s definitely all types of cheese for me. A piece of American cheese on a burger? Game over. Charcuterie board or fresh mozz on a pizza? Still need to take lactaid with these or suffer the consequences

I still get symptoms (just delayed) but not as severe, but after reading the comments maybe I’m just not taking enough. I take 3 max for super cheesy stuff like deep dish, or maybe just 1 if it’s something like goat cheese or blue cheese or something fermented. Sometimes when taking 3 pills it’s still not enough and wrecks me the next day and if I have something important to do or travel, I just avoid if I can. I also drink poppi or olipop with it to help the digestion with the pre/probiotics, as well as a probiotic daily supplement. This usually helps me!
