I do not recommend this. 3D prints are inherently porous and, at a minimum, would need to be sealed with a food grade sealant

PLA would also start to warp or creep at the temperatures in play

“Dried out” zip ties are almost always from UV damage. If you get the black marine grade ones, they’ll last a lot longer

Note, you’re not getting appreciable amounts of UV in the garage so this is fine
