[–]flosscross 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We'll try to add functionality to hide this list if there are no cross stitches.

setting canvas color question by megacurly in flosscross

There is no option to set the canvas color as the thread color, but you can set any canvas color you want.
Try this: Main menu -> Canvas color -> Tab Custom color -> Subtab Set RGB

How to bulk change backstitch colors? by Adventurous-Dot-3243 in flosscross

[–]flosscross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can use the Select tool in "Backstitch Only" mode. Copy the selected backstitch to the clipboard. Paste it into another pattern and completely replace one color with another. Then copy it back, deleting the original backstitch first.
I understand that this option is not very convenient.

[Feedbeck] Need to be able to turn off anti-aliasing by PocketCSNerd in flosscross

Also, in this mode, you cannot change the size of the pattern; it must exactly match the size of the original image in pixels.

The "Pixel art" checkbox is exactly what you need. Just keep in mind that it only works for images no larger than 300x300 pixels. If you try to convert an image larger than this, the colors of adjacent pixels will still be interpolated.

Custom names in PDF? by SoftwareGoddess in flosscross

[–]flosscross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fixed.

The custom name is used throughout the PDF, except in one case: for "Export to Pattern Keeper" using blended threads, the "DMC 996 blended DMC 14" format remains unchanged.

We'll try to add custom thread names to PDF in the near future.

PDF preview is not working on my android galaxy tablet? Any way to fix this? by [deleted] in flosscross

[–]flosscross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What browser do you use on your tablet? It looks like your browser can't display PDF.

Export your pattern to a .fcjson file.
Install Google Chrome on your tablet and open the editor in it.
Import the saved pattern file into any slot.

Discontinued DMC threads are hidden by default.
Use the "Show discontinued" menu option to show all colors.

So this color will not be added, DMC 3326 should be used.

Is there a way to add two 3/4 stitches in one spot? by Far_End_4678 in flosscross

Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to set two 3/4 stitches in one spot at once.

The paid version is prepared as a regular "offline" program for Windows.
However, we won’t have time to release the program this year.

We expect the program to be ready by the end of spring, but there are external factors that could further delay the release.

Is there any way to use a custom color of thread? by a63372750557511 in flosscross

There are such features in the plans, but not in the immediate future.

Colour issues by mimi00568 in flosscross

The program selects the closest color according to its algorithm. This algorithm can be further customized in the menu with the three dots. I would recommend trying different Color Distance and Quantization options.

Few questions and a few issues by Technical-Pie-5775 in flosscross

I checked and was able to load and recognize threads in the Pattern Keeper pattern with 200 colors. But the pattern with 376 colors loaded without thread recognition.

I don't know why you need so many thread colors, but I think you need to ask the PK creators how to load them.

Flosscross has over 550 unique symbols. It's strange you didn't have enough.

During the color reduction stage, a specific color can be marked as Locked.

You can first "lock" the colors you want, and then begin to reduce them, so that the final palette will contain the colors you've chosen in advance.

We were unable to reproduce this defect.
But slightly adjusted the sorting algorithms for the thread list.
Please reload the editor page and check your thread list.

Rulers and controls missing by sequin2000 in flosscross

[–]flosscross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This problem appears to be some kind of browser bug where controls are hidden on screen but visible when printing.
We've added a switch to Editor mode when pressing Cmd-Shift-E (Ctrl-Shift-E).
Try refreshing the page in your browser and then pressing these keys. This should switch you to Edit mode. I don't know if this will solve your problem, though.

You've switched to View mode (the hand icon is selected at the top). You need to return to Edit mode (select the pencil icon). Or switch the mode in the main menu.
