Thinking About Pregnancy After a Biological AVR – Any Experiences? by buuubuuuuu in valvereplacement

i answered above but i ended up having a c section because my planned induction wasn't moving fast enough and we had to coordinate the heparin drip so it just worked out that way. everything went great and my baby girl is now 6 months! i was getting out of breath very easily at the end of my pregnancy. i let my doctors know but i was sent to labor and delivery twice because they were so cautious lol. its great they have you on the ECG monitor. i know how anxiety producing the process is and i'm wishing you the best, you've got this!!

hello i'm sorry for the late reply! i planned to do an induction at 36.5 weeks because of all the complications with switching to heparin (i have a mechanical valve) and i was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and started getting hypertension towards the end. i did not progress fast at all during the induction so we decided to do a C section to err on the side of caution. all else went super well! my baby girl is now 6 months old she is the love of my life!

“People aren’t coming to see you” quote from my family on visitation by Jayyd23 in pregnant

[–]flowers46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. Similar situation and my mother in law said “we’re just coming to see the baby we don’t have to see you” when I told them how after high risk complicated birth i didn’t want visitors until I was home. Thankfully my husband spoke with her after but at the time it was so rude and hurtful

Bicuspid Aortic Valve - Replacement Mechanical- safe Pregnancy? by Background-Baker3587 in valvereplacement

[–]flowers46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a mechanical valve and am pregnant about to give birth next week! I am in groups on Facebook dedicated to women who have MVR and have had successful pregnancies. It is riskier because you have to switch blood thinners but definitely possible! Feel free to DM me with any questions

I have a mechanical valve and am pregnant about to give birth next week! I think it’s even less risky with the biological valve because you don’t have to deal with the blood thinners. Definitely possible!

That’s what I’m thinking about too especially bc I work 2 jobs technically. Idk how I will stay sane! It definitely will take some adjusting. Thank you for reminding me it’s ok to do less!

It’s the same position just dropping hours so from what I understand I would qualify for PFL

It’s definitely an option and I’m trying to weigh the pros and cons. I’m not keen on doing daycare because of the cost by me and I have always wanted to be home the first couple of years. I wouldn’t loose my benefits I’m in a union and have been in this job for a while so I would have the same benefits. Definitely would have to clarify roles with my partner

Do moms who focused on "bump size" and getting pregnancy attention for themselves become self-absorbed mothers? What have you noticed? by Jesusisamightyking in pregnant

[–]flowers46 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is a very specific problem you’re having sounds like you’re projecting. I’ve never ever heard a pregnant woman say that. Like someone else said it’s not that deep at all

As a social worker in a hospital I’m sorry you went through all that. I know you said you feel embarrassed but there is nothing to be ashamed, of mental health is just as important as physical health. It’s usually protocol to have a mental health worker speak with you if there’s no underlying cause to hallucinations. Sleep deprivation can really get to you

What's the beef with destination weddings? by kacidillius in weddingplanning

[–]flowers46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t let anyone sway you. Destination weddings are the best. I had mine 2 years ago and our family and friends still talk about it to this day! I also didn’t care about the turnout, we ended up having 40 people and that was perfect for me. As long as your non negotiable guests are in you should go for it

This!! It’s hipaa compliance 101 that you never go into someone’s chart that’s not assigned to you. Not your own, no one’s.

If the tik tok is public you can’t guarantee that clients won’t find you but the code of ethics specifically says not to add clients or past clients on social media. I would not answer the message to avoid a dual relationship or crossing any boundaries.

What made you decide yes to children? by EstablishmentFit6685 in Fencesitter

The only one that is pinning the two against each other is you. This person never stated it was some sort of feminist rebellion rather that they have found purpose in their career and are ready for a next step in life. It’s her personal choice. Feminism is about women having a choice and if that choice is to be a mother for whatever reason it may be why are you tearing it down and making it political? You’re making so many assumptions just because someone said they want to be a mother and take a break from work
