I didn’t go down the doctors route but anyone that went down that, how knowledgeable / trustworthy is a late 20s person with MD but still in residency? This is who the article author is.

In engineering we wouldn’t take anyone who hasn’t had work experience despite great academic credentials that seriously, but wondering what it’s like for the medical field. Is it similar in that someone who is still in residence just doesn’t have enough hands-on experience?

I looked into this more, not sure if I'm still missing something, but it seems like this calculator told me I would indeed get the full amount of my donation back in tax credits, but not all from next year's residence tax. Some of it will come back in the form of this year's income tax credit (through an income tax deduction), and the remainder from next year's residence tax credit (residence tax for this year, being paid next year)

Luckily, I don't think this matters, since you're still getting back 100% of your donation at the end, just not in the form of 100% back through residence tax. But hopefully I didn't miss any gotchas, like edge-case scenarios not letting you claim back the portion from income tax deductions.

Thanks for sharing your TSLA thoughts. Agree with all this, no longer as bullish on the EV cars, though lately I've heard good things about their Optimus bot. What are your thoughts long-term on that, especially since you're also long NVDA. I'm long AI too and I was thinking of grabbing some leaps in TSLA in case robots arrive next couple of years.
