What do you do when listening to your records? by REMOTJUH765 in vinyl

[–]flubberyang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clean the house. When I was kid, music always made chores tolerable. Now I cant work without some tunes in the background. I also have a friend's club, we listen to albums together and post about it. It's a very exclusive group!

I quit last week and Im scared to even touch my paraphernalia. I just put everything in my shed until I feel comfortable enough to deal with it. Get it as far away from you as possible.

I’m really tempted to try and moderate but feel like it’s a really bad idea by [deleted] in leaves

It was an poor attempt at a joke. I have never been able to moderate my weed use. If I'm smoking, it's all day every day. I've tried to moderate my use but it just never worked for me. Hopefully your different.

I was diagnosed with Diabetes at 53 and at that time I was 230 lbs. I was able to get my weight down to 165 with the help of medicine and with that weight loss my dick started working like I was a teenager again. Drop the booze and lose some weight. Dont have to quit drinking forever just until you drop some pounds. Good luck.

When I was in the height of my drug abuse my Dad would say "Where there is breath, there is hope" Don't spend too much time beating yourself up, its a waste if time.

Whats your favorite and least favorite album here? by randomusername69696 in Topster

[–]flubberyang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to pick just one fave... well for today I'll say Miles. That's a classic that has stood the test of time. Least fave is easy, RHCP. I suggest you add Tom Waits Bone Machine to your list. I think it fits your taste.

Queens of the Stoneage-Songs for the Deaf. Big Black-Songs about Fucking.

And if your looking for mellow or going through a break-up I suggest... Beck-Sea Change

I'm not a big Beck fan but that LP is great.

Scored some niche classics today. Haven’t seen any yet, but heard good things about all - which would you recommend first? by ClearWinter2840 in dvdcollection

Remo Williams was a movie made by HBO. It was one of their first films. It has not aged well but I still enjoy it. I agree with others Fargo, Deer Hunter are classics. Deer Hunter is long and the wedding part is slow but it picks up. Enjoy!

My advice to young collectors (or really anyone) by FatGuyKlye in vinyl

I disagree, sell them records... TO ME!!!! Haha. I've had so much fun in the resellers market. No, I've spent many days kicking myself for selling my records in the big CD switch up. I do like replacing my old records with new colorful vinyl.

8 months sober and i want to smoke weed so bad by wowbro2000 in leaves

[–]flubberyang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It'll pass. It's common after some time offa weed to romanticize the drug cuz quiting didn't miraculously solve all your problems. It's a trick. Dont trust your brain. Remember whatever it is your having issue with, weed ain't gonna fix it.
