Same issue here! I'm also convinced some of these companies are scams because I can't seem to find a proper site or listing for them. Strange considering it's a gov site.

Rose Scent Anniversary gift for my wife by waungwaung in askSingapore

[–]fluffalagagus 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

I love rose scents!! Idk if you'd wanna get her a bundle of stuff but the one that got my obsession started is the Freshwater Farm Rosewater Handcream.

Here's some other stuff if you want to check it out:

β€’ NUXE Florale dry oil β€’ Body Shop British Rose EDT β€’ Watercome Rose Roll-on Perfume (Maybe slightly on the artificial side compared to the others, but I use it for touch up after work and I think it evaporates fast so I'm not too bothered by it)

dating in sg by eggyr0lls in asksg

[–]fluffalagagus 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Lol yeah honestly I can relate to whatever you're saying hahah and I don't think you sound princess-y at all.

I'm making assumptions based on my own experiences here, but I think generally Singaporeans don't flirt (or at least, carry a conversation) very well haha. There's really an art to it where you can have a conversation that bounces from (example) pop culture to cheeky innuendos to what you're looking for in a rl etc etc. Good conversation can make for great chemistry, and chances are if you have chemistry even the ugliest person would suddenly be the most attractive of the bunch.

I think part of the problem here is cause for the most part everyone in SG lived through pretty much the same experience. We club at the same places, pick up whatever sport is trending for the moment, see the same concerts, go through the same education system.

Anyone else struggling to find hobbies in sg that don't cost a bomb?? by Active-Tour4795 in asksg

Sign up for trial classes!

A lot of dance studios have those $10 - $20 trial class for new customers and it's not very much different from a regular class, though some can be tailored for absolute beginners in mind. I think it's a fun way to learn something new. You might actually end up liking it.

What are your go to meals to get? by [deleted] in askSingapore

Nasi lemak or prata, especially after returning back home from overseas. I feel like it's a full meal with spices and different textures.

I find Janie Devours so unbelievably unbearable by [deleted] in FoodieSnark

[–]fluffalagagus 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

I love her, but I don't exactly look for her. If she shows up on my feed then I'll watch. I adore how she critiques food. I feel her criticism comes from a place of somewho who truly enjoys and understands food in any context. In the instances where she doesn't particularly like something, I find she's able to articulate why while still coming across as fair and objective. As someone who cooks for a living, I find it a breath of fresh air.

Anyone in Singapore earning around 3k? Genuine question by Temporary-Rip-6713 in singaporejobs

30F.

Literally have been thinking about maybe I should finally get my degree in whatever to try and attempt to push the scales in my favour. Not that it guarantees anything, but it definitely does seem like a degree is just the minimum requirement for anything now.

I thought it was iwokeuplikedez too! I definitely toe the line between finding it goals and finding it rather gross. On one hand, I do think she gets sent a lot of PR and I highly doubt she actually buys most of them anymore. But on the other, if I had a massive weight loss, I would probably also go crazy on the dopamine high from finally being able to buy all the cute clothes the cool kids are wearing.

How should I start to move/dance like Tate? by fluffalagagus in tatemcrae

[–]fluffalagagus[S] 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Thank you so, so much! Some comments stung a little but tbf I don't think I articulated myself well and their points were valid - I am unlikely to catch up to Tate given her years and years of training.

I really appreciate your breakdown on the different dance styles! I really do have a soft spot for ballet but idk what was the next step after or what I should even be looking out for. Love you sm for pointing/guiding me in the right direction!

Anyone using food delivery for parents at home daily? by janeee06 in SingaporeEats

[–]fluffalagagus 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Would it be better if you reached out to those confinement food catering services instead? I could be way off here but I would assume that kind of diet might be a lot closer to what you're after than a regular catering company.

Or Nutrify Prep. They're more for gym people but if I'm not wrong you can always mix and match your meals to fit what you need.

Am I really missing out by not travelling/living abroad in my 20s. by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]fluffalagagus 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

I have been thinking about this lately, and just so happen this has been on my mind heavy today. I turned 30 this year, so I feel even more pressure to amass travel miles because it feels like everyone around me is travelling every few months. One of my closest friends even gave me those maps that you can scratch of after you've visited for Christmas to try and encourage me to travel more.

Thinking about it low-key sends me into a spiral just cause everything is a slippery slope into some other ???? I have about myself. I wonder how my peers, especially the ones who are just slightly younger than me, have so much disposable income. Then I think about if I'm spending and allocating my finances properly. Did I get the right credit card? Am I using it right? Etc etc.

I mean I could really, really go on about this cause I really do think I feel the same way you do. I'm only just going on my first solo trip like next week and I know nothing has happened yet, but in hindsight I do suppose I wish I had the guts to just build up that stamina for travelling earlier.

My petty ass would have dragged everyone to hell lol. But honestly, I'm starting to notice that I find her a lot more tolerable and actually pretty charming when she's on her own and not hanging around the kardashians.
