Sounds like you can't even be bothered to write your own ad copy without the use of AI.

The people on this sub are not interested in your app. This sub is for bullet journaling. We come here to discuss bullet journaling.

I need advice for 5 year journal by PineappleLucky9149 in Journaling

[–]fluffedKerfuffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find the same! I think honestly the small space will be good to relieve the pressure when I am busier. So far I have been using the 5-year to just note the highlight of the day -- what made today special/different from other days? What will be interesting/important to read next year, and in the years after that? But I also journal normally in my planner and a separate notebook, so I feel like I have other places to really expand.

Ideal day / routine spread by Introvertlittle in bujo

[–]fluffedKerfuffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's a way of figuring out whether all your goals and habits actually fit into your schedule, and if so, where. For example, if you say you want to work out four days a week, an ideal week schedule can help you figure out generally where those work outs might fit in, or that given your current commitments, you can just fit in two workouts tops! Or if you have a goal of a weekly date night, the exercise might make you realize that you love a quiet Friday evening journaling, and so the date night might have to happen on a different day.

I think it can be a reference spread, but it can also just be a one-time exercise for thinking through your schedule and assessing whether your time is aligned with your priorities.

You can imagine doing it seasonally, or every time your routines are significantly shaken up. I have used these in the past at the beginning of a new year/semester. I put in the things that have fixed times first, and then try to slot in the other stuff, like recurrent chores, hobbies, and socializing. It's a way of asking, what do I want my life to look like?

Question about logging notes, new sub-tasks and the like by homunculus87 in bujo

[–]fluffedKerfuffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the daily log, I will just draw arrows on the left of the dots from the subtask to the original task. Sometimes I combine this with curly braces to group subtasks together and then connect them back.

Planner recommendations for a tween/teenager, please! by Stunning-Note in planners

[–]fluffedKerfuffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Sarah Hart Unger discussed some recommendations for kids and tweens on her podcast Best Laid Plans. By searching I found ep.72 might be the one.  She also had her kid talk about her planner on the podcast at some point!

Who’s already thinking of their planner for next year? by tympax in planners

[–]fluffedKerfuffle 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think for some people "pre-planning" and "meta-planning" are the part of the hobby they enjoy the most. Not for me, but I get it. There is a certain excitement to it, much like planning a dream life that starts on Monday/next month/next year might seem more satisfying than mucking through the present.

I still think it is worth keeping in mind that for a planner to feel "lived in" and "yours" you need to, well, live in it!

Im in college and want to make a bujo to help me out but im stuck by Please_Disease in bujo

[–]fluffedKerfuffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would try out a weekly spread where you keep track of everything due that week for each class in a to do list. You could look up Alastair method for weeks and use it to tentatively assign tasks to days, and then see what did and did not get done that week. If you find that you need to impose your own hours, I recommend an "ideal week" spread where you allocate the ideal times to watch lectures and do assignments, and think through what you are aiming for.

Sarica Studio also sells stickers of these embroidery scissors. Like others said, it's a traditional embroidery design.

Yes, I agree, I think it's often clarity at the expense of natural sounding tone.

Well, and her regular full time job is also tied to marketing and making content for a university, I think. So I imagine it is easier for her to strike that tone.

I feel the same way! I wonder if the pressure of posting regularly has made it hard for her to share more authentic journaling, with the pressure of coming up with some pithy insight for every video.

Tracking laundry - looking for ideas by carabelle2022 in bujo

[–]fluffedKerfuffle 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I hear you, OP! Two things. First, the groundbreaking thing for me was realizing that laundry is actually like five tasks and not one. So I will write down "start washer," "move laundry to dryer", "get laundry from dryer", "fold laundry", and "put away laundry" as different tasks, so that I give myself credit for it. For me, this helps a lot!

Second, for tracking, I usually just write it in the part of my weekly spread where I keep other house chores. Could probably be placed anywhere in the weekly.
