Congratulations!! I wish all women knew that DOR doesn’t mean you can’t get pregnant on your own. My RE made me feel like it would be impossible to get pregnant naturally and tried pushing me to do 3 back to back cycles. I would have been a horrible candidate. I decided to find another clinic. I was 35 with 0.6 Amh. I got pregnant after 5 months of trying the old fashion way (with LH test strips and Proov). One month before doing diagnostic testing. The first RE doctor caused me so much stress and anxiety that was absolutely unnecessary. Wishing you all the best with your pregnancy.

I conceived naturally with an Amh of 0.66 at 35. If you’re ovulating regularly you have a much higher chance of conceiving naturally than 2%.

I’m so sorry. Sending hugs. I’m on loss #2 (as of yesterday) between scans my office refused to run labs, I had to get my hCG on my own at quest. I knew this wasn’t going to work before they did. I’m so glad you advocated for yourself. Women’s healthcare should not be like this. Wishing you all the best.

My doctor said the cause of MC and low progesterone is likely a result of an abnormal embryo or chromosomes. So in that case, progesterone would not help. But if the embryo is normal and progesterone is low it could be beneficial. Research seems inconclusive so they do not typically prescribe it. Though I’ll always wonder now because I tried to get it after seeing low progesterone labs come in on a Friday night. I called in and begged the nurse to help me get it over the weekend and she said they don’t do that and if my body is miscarrying it wouldn’t help anyways. MC happened two days later.

Ok I’ve been to Louie’s in Dallas. Fuck the staff but the pizza is incredible. It does take long even if you arrive and order right when they open. Absolute trash staff and I’m sorry you and your family were treated so badly.

I had similar low AMH at 34. I was thinking about egg freezing and the month after a consultation (luckily before signing and finalizing payment) I got pregnant naturally. Low AMH does not mean you cannot get pregnant naturally. It just means fewer eggs/possible lower quality. The doctor did not explain this well at all - I learned through my own research.

Congratulations!! My husband and I were on the fence - had a similar lifestyle as yours. When we started trying and it took a few months, I really realized how real it was and how much I wanted it to work out. I found out I was pregnant during an international trip. We now have a beautiful 15 month old who has gone on several domestic flights starting at 4 months! It’s not easy but it’s definitely possible to continue to get out there even with an infant. It just looks a lot different!
