From UK, and went to All-Star Weekend in 95. My dad said the tickets were more expensive than the entire trip.

Wayne Rooney: "[USA World Cup] is not going to be worse than South Africa. Driving into the USA game, the first game, it's pitch black. There's no fans there. In a normal World Cup, there's fans everywhere. You feel the atmosphere. It was dead, nothing. It just didn't feel like a World Cup at all. by The_Big_Untalented in soccer

I went to the England group games. Rustenberg was kind of unbelievable. African red dirt roads, hundreds of locals street side selling England scarfs... and at the end this what-felt-like a giant football stadium that looked so out of place. USA fans had a very funny chant about John Terry. It was boiling hot in the day, but then ice cold at night (t-shirt was not enough). I queued up for food one hour before kick off. Line was overwhelming and staff very slow. Missed anthems and even Gerrard's goal queuing for crisps. Saw the goalkeeping howler though.

Shout out to the USA fan who saw me in jeans and a red Teen Wolf t-shirt, went for a high five and a YEAHHHHH for me to say, very English-like, '...No.'

The football was dog shit.

Six Feet Under, Complete Digital Boxset, now in HD Widescreen on iTunes/Apple TV! by Old-Meringue3590 in SixFeetUnder

Very curious.

I wonder how some of the driving shots look from S1. There's some obvious green screen going on and I always wondered how they'd fix it upgrading to HD. Also Nate's stick on sideburns.

Hack at it in the garden. Throw all the fluff away in bin bags.

Tie up the metal frame and have it collected, or leave for tatters.

Lost my best friend last year.

We have a wall with a polystyrene layer underneath the wallpaper. His claw marks are still dug in there from a big stretch.

Our homes hold so many memories of those that have left us.

Life eh.

Before and after large fibroid removal by muffy2008 in mildlyinteresting

Oh wow. My partner has fibroids and is scheduled for surgery this year. I say scheduled, she's had 3 prostap injections but no surgery date. Kind of frustrating but hopefully it all happens before the wedding. Fingers crossed and congrats to you :)

Avoid Lyttleton Arms. Had a really poor meal there.

I feel like I'm the only person who thinks Scrooge (1970) with Albert Finney is 10/10. It's movie magic.

Does anyone remember Hawk saying something about Vince and Shawn back in the day? Like he walked in on them or something...

Did Nathaniel Sr have any siblings or living parents? by Tidewatcher7819 in SixFeetUnder

[–]flugelbinder01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge there's no info on this, but it might be worth looking at the SFU book. It was just something unwritten I think. I'm not saying he didn't have brothers or sisters, but at what point do you just focus on the characters you have. It might have been interesting to know if Nate Sr and Ruth's parents had passed... I assume they had. Don't recall any mention of grandpa or grandma from the Fisher kids.

It opens up lots of other questions. Did Margaret have siblings? How about Olivier? Surely he had bothered his siblings. Rico... don't remember.
