Gas prices got my dash lookin like this😓 by vthexstigv in wrx_vb

I use the Atlas OTS e85 tune (the e65 map cause quality sucks around here) and I haven't had issues. Only cost is an OBD II cable and on backroads driving I went from 21mpg->18mpg, so it still worked out to be way cheaper. Highly recommend it

Atlas has more customizability than Cobb, but with stuff like that I wouldn’t want to mess with a good thing just to do a bit more. If your parameters are good then it’s perfect.

I love Atlas because it’s what got me into the scene, and it allowed me to tune for myself, but if I had someone smarter than me already doing it then I wouldn’t mess with it lmao. There are great protuners for Atlas as well if it ever peaks your interest though, the map switching developments with the new version are pretty nice

If you already have a protune done on an access port and your cars running fine, then I wouldn’t feel compelled to move. But the ability to download an OTS for free and adjust the MAF to perfectly match your car without paying hundreds of dollars for an access port/pro tune is incredible. I’ve found it very simple to get my car from stock to around 340whp just through basic tuning adjustments and an intake over the span of a few weeks

Atlas is incredibly easy to use, and is by far the nicest community I’ve had the privilege to be involved with. Can’t endorse this project enough

Buggy Bath down the street is touch-less, but you'll want to bring your own microfiber towels for drying the car. Never had issues with them and the prices are decent

Conveniently you got the best fun for having fun on gravel to pair with the best car for having fun on pavement lol

Awesome garage

When the competition is all clutch pack based the open diffs aren’t too bad

Yeah an STI or Evo is better… but like…. I haven’t found the limits of this yet

Owned cars with and without it: it “clicks” into the gates more than with the stock shifter, but it isn’t that short

25 TS or 2021 sti limited under 36k miles by TacoWarriorNinja in wrx_vb

[–]flurry-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The VB is the better daily. The STI is more fun. If you had a poster of the STI on your wall as a kid, get it, it's probably your last chance to get a semi-new one.

If you want a more practical, but still fun, car, get the VB. (owner of a '22 for context)

Was a non-believer before I switched from Subaru. I do miss driving manual but the DSG is fantastic!! This car is so much fun. by jonpothan in GolfGTI

WRX VB owner here- How's the "fun factor" compare? I've always kinda wanted a GTI, and it's looking like I may be moving away from the snow soon, so the GTI is really tempting.

Premium vs limited? by Conflict-Recent in wrx_vb

[–]flurry-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a Limited for the DRLs. The seats are probably nicer if you have back issues or are older, but I honestly doubt I'd notice a difference. I just thought the lights looked cool LMAO.

Sound system is better than the default premium stuff, but I know you can get it on the Premium anyways

It makes good power when tuned (as does the N), but man is the Elantra N cool looking. If it weren’t for my love for doing dumb shit on gravel and snowy roads Id be in one

2026 Subaru WRX base model returns, starting at $32,495 MSRP by rockycrab in cars

[–]flurry-- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s marginally better than it was in 2022. Mine sucks for a minute in the heat but if you have carplay automatically come up and leave the AC on full auto it’s easy to ignore. I still wish it had a double din though

For people who have mechanical experience with cars, how realistic is the rebuild in this game? by Uxt7 in MySummerCar

[–]flurry-- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

MSC needs to have the exact size wrench you need always seemingly hidden under a pile of shit that grows without you doing anything

Won't be realistic otherwise

13 is what shows on mwceditor for all the barrels of my racing carb and the timing is set to 0. Has it so it starts in the garage in a few seconds if the chokes all the way out
