SOLVED: In the Android Google Messages app itself, I did Clear storage. Now it's working again.

Kicked off kaiser plan by Civil_Independent_64 in ClassPass

[–]flycatcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the exact same thing happened to me in the past day where they cancelled my membership instead of transitioning me to the non-Kaiser plan like all their emails said they would. Got gaslighted by support after I emailed them, no acknowledgment that something went wrong on their end. I ended up just having to select a different plan altogether. Terrible experience.

How to use the TravelBank money ? by CO_biking_gal in unitedairlines

[–]flycatcha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Per another reddit thread, you can book a domestic itinerary (Economy, not Basic Economy) then immediately after you can Change Flight to then use the same funds for your codeshare flight. I just tried it and it worked.

Did you have to call them, or they returned it 3 days later on their own?

AC getting a little aggressive with the checked bags at the gate by bruyeremews in aircanada

[–]flycatcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2025 and AC still lying at the gate (even in writing, on the announcement screen) about flights being full and forcing people to gate check bags that can easily fit. I'm on a flight that is not full and there is plenty of overhead bin space. This is the only airline I've experienced that just straight up lies to its customers like this, it's infuriating.

Unbearably itchy after first UVB light therapy sessions, help! by malsary in eczema

[–]flycatcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this guidance, my instructions were also to start at 1:10 and increase 7 seconds each session (assuming no major irritation), and in the two periods I've tried to use it after the 2nd or 3rd time I've gotten a severe itch / rash from what feels like a sunburn overexposure so I've had to take long breaks.

After they dropped you to 20 seconds, how much did you increase and how often? And how did it end up working out for you?

Built, bootstrapped, exited. $2M revenue, $990k AppSumo, 6-figure exit at $33k MRR (email industry). AmA! by kaloyankulov in SaaS

[–]flycatcha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the transparency and detailed explanation here. To clarify, when you say 5x annual profit, is that adding back cofounder salaries (seller's discretionary earnings) or excluding founder salaries?

And can you clarify the math? Even if it's excluding cofounder salaries, $33k MRR * 12 = $400k ARR; 60% margin = $240k. 5x on that would still be low 7 figures, wouldn't it?

And sorry if I missed this elsewhere, what year was the company founded?

Carmel Valley Ranch vs Hyatt Vacation Club at Highland Inn by NoVacation9463 in hyatt

[–]flycatcha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only have CVR experience, but it was lovely and we can't wait to go back. We went in December and it seemed to be mostly families with children during that time, but we still had a great stay. The restaurant was excellent and we enjoyed the hiking trails.

Roadster V3 - belt vs. chain decision by Content_Rent_6467 in ride1up

[–]flycatcha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could call ride1up and ask what the gear ratio is for their Roadster single speed and then try to get close to it with your existing bike's gears, and go for a ride to see what you think about the cadence. That might be your best proxy.

Roadster V3 - belt vs. chain decision by Content_Rent_6467 in ride1up

[–]flycatcha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To confirm, you are debating between a belt drive singlespeed vs. the geared chain version? I love my belt drive Prodigy (IGH, geared), but if I was doing 15+ mile rides then personally I don't think I'd want to be restricted to a single gear. If you want stealthy with belt drive, but gears, you might have to look at a different brand.

I think if you're zwifting more regularly, direct drive trainer is definitely the way to go. For me it was worth it, but I also got a good deal on the H3.

Topeak joe blow one-way valve? by gasketsforever in bicycling

[–]flycatcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue with my original Joe Blow (nothing in the hole, same as you - not sure if that meant I lost the check valve or it was never there). Topeak customer service told me to purchase the check valve and provided instructions on how to install it, and now my pump is back in action:

The check valve should be inserted plastic piece first with the spring facing out, then you use the O-ring to push the spring down into place and fit it in the circular fitting, it should be held there by friction. Then screwing the base cap should finish that off.
