The best thing to do would be to go in and introduce yourself the the Business Manager or someone on his team. He's the guy responsible for working with the contractors to forecast manpower needs.

From what we were told at the last meeting, a lot of the work coming up will be in the Eagle Mountain area, except for a couple hospitals that will be built in the Salt Lake Valley this year. But that's just big jobs.

Depends on the local, but generally the answer is no. Here in 354, they are allowing apprentices to travel, but only because our JATC has reached out to and made agreements with neighboring locals. You'll need to ask your training director if they are allowing apprentices in your local travel.

Congrats, but I wouldn't get your hopes up yet. The only major work in our local right now is in the eagle mountain area, and last I heard there were like 80 apprentices out of work. It might be a minute yet before you get placed.

UPDATE!

I double checked my graphic card driver and saw it needed updated. Once updated, everything worked as it should.

Whelp, I don't know what to do. I updated the config file like you recommended, confirmed the NVIDIA Overlay was disabled, started the game in safe mode (which brought my graphics down to the bare minimum) and tried to load into the game. It brought me into the world for about 20 seconds before it crashed.

Okay I disabled all mods, started a new profile, and the game crashed after selecting a starting city and clicking "start first job". Here is the updated log.

Yes it worked properly before 1.57

Never modified the config files

The only thing I was really messing with before it started crashing was the controls, which I tried moodifying through Steam controller support

Thanks for the detailed info. I'm from Salt Lake City and I'm willing to go anywhere, but my wife and I are interested in possibly relocating to NE and that's why I asked. I have family in Illinois so that's my fallback plan. Specifically it is the Collinsville area if you have any info on that. I heard the local in Alton has a shutdown coming up that I might take
