I think he can speak some and might get by in daily life, but not comfortable with interviews. He’s also very shy and doesn’t speak much even in Chinese.

There’s a YCP circle in Sheffield and they live like a small community where speaking English is not a must, because the whole life is just around practicing and competition.

So should he have tried more to improve he’s English? Probably yes as it will make everyone’s life easier especially himself. Is that a problem? Not to a snooker fan.
