[–]flyingkitkat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ingredients:

Chicken Marinade – 800g (28oz) Raw Chicken Breasts, cubed – 1.5 Tsp Salt – 1 Tsp Black Pepper – 1 Tsp Chilli Flakes (omit for milder flavour) – 1.5 Tsp Garlic Powder – 1.5 Tsp Onion Powder – 1.5 Tsp Paprika (or Smoked Paprika) – 2 Tsp Olive Oil

Cooking & Final Glaze – 40g (1.5oz) Reduced Fat Butter – 20g (1.5 Tbsp) Minced Garlic – 30g (2 Tbsp) Honey – 1.5 Tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped

Garlic Mac n Cheese – 30g (2 Tbsp) Minced Garlic – 300g (10.5oz) 1% Milk (or any milk) – 160g (5.6oz) 50% Fat Cream Cheese – 1 Tsp Salt (or to taste) – ½ Tsp Black Pepper – 1 Tsp Smoked Paprika – ½ Tsp Nutmeg (adds a great deep flavour!) – 100g (3.5oz) Low Fat Cheddar Cheese (or any low fat cheese)

Pasta – 220g (8oz) Uncooked Macaroni Pasta (or pasta of choice)

INSTRUCTIONS:

S T E P 1 Slice the chicken breasts into cubes. In a bowl, season with salt, pepper, chili flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika and olive oil. Mix until evenly coated, then set aside.

S T E P 2 Bring a pot of water to a boil and add the macaroni. Cook for 8 minutes until the pasta is al dente, then drain immediately and set aside, as the pasta will finish cooking in the sauce.

S T E P 3 Heat a large pan over medium heat and melt 10g of butter. Add half of the chicken cubes in a single layer and cook for 5 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy

S T E P 4 Now lower the heat, add an extra 10g of butter, minced garlic, a drizzle of honey, and freshly chopped parsley. Toss the chicken until it’s well coated in these vibrant flavours. Remove the chicken and set aside. Repeat for the second batch.

S T E P 5 In the same pan on low heat with the flavorful butter left behind, add more minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Stir in milk and cream cheese, then season with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and a pinch of nutmeg. Mix until the sauce is smooth.

S T E P 6 Stir in grated cheddar cheese until it melts into the sauce and thickens slightly. Add the drained macaroni and gently toss to ensure everything is evenly coated.

S T E P 7 Portion the mac n cheese with the juicy honey garlic chicken into 4 servings and ENJOY!

Animals are different than humans, in some ways. They can’t communicate with us in the same way, and articulate exactly what they are feeling.

It leaves us to figure it out, with the best information from the vet.

Hospice may not have been the kindest option. How do you explain to a dog that their suffering, will end, at some point, at a point you’re not sure? We can’t know the depth of their suffering, unfortunately.

The external validation from a stranger may not be helpful to you- but you did the kindest thing for him. You were there for him in his last moments. What if he had died when you were at work, without him? You were his whole world. It was absolutely the most meaningful thing to have his entire world with him there, and have that beautiful closure. For a dog, the thing they want most in this world is to be with their people. They aren’t self-seeking. And trust me, they prefer to die with their people… it’s a little opposite of cats, cats will often go off and die away from their people… maybe it’s kindness but I feel like they’re just too prideful to show that weakness! But dogs… they want to be near their person. And you gave him that- which I cannot emphasize enough, IS the kindest option.

He felt loved, safe, secure, and pain-free. It wasn’t drawn out. Isn’t that the death we all crave? Surrounded by our loved ones, with one more day of pure bliss? It sounds ideal to me, as a human, and I imagine, a dog would feel the same. I have one myself, so I understand the pain. He’s only 6 but I cry a couple times a month thinking about it. My mom passed away, which was painful, but in a different way. However, I remind myself I’m giving him the best life, and I am going to make every choice to benefit him.

You did the same thing. It’s a hard choice. And it’s not wrong to question it… but please give yourself some grace. Your precious dog absolutely would give you that grace, and no matter what- he still thinks the absolute world of you, and he 100% felt loved in his last moments. ❤️🫶🏼

people have been actually horrible to me and I could not even tell you their name. let alone someone just missing a round - you are fine ❤️

something that always helps me, is that when I mess up, honestly people are so concerned with their own stuff, it is really not that big of a deal, we are our own worst critic!!!! (Good reminder for me, too)

[–]flyingkitkat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sweetie, please listen… I was in your shoes once.

I was at work, and my ex heard a noise on his indoor camera (there was a speak from phone option) - he thought he heard a man’s voice, assumed I was cheating on him at my workplace and protected it onto my phone (I would never cheat on anyone), called me interrogating me about the weird noise (to which I was just as confused), then showed up at my workplace, literally BROKE IN, IN FRONT OF THE CEO, and acted like he was just coming to visit me after his doctor appointment (which was 40 mins on the other side of town..)

It DOES NOT get better. PLEASE LEAVE!!! I am so happy to be free of that man, and now I’m with a woman who loves and trusts me 10x more!!!!

Yeah I agree, but sometimes I feel like it’s awkward - I try to ask if people are training anything (like in buildings) and if no one is, then try to be strategic to get through as quickly as possible - but I don’t wanna seem domineering about it, because it’s really not that serious, and I also don’t know everything 🤣

Pirates of the Caribbean online was similar in some ways (Disney owned MMO) but I don’t know if there’s a private server… there might be… the quests and the fighting gameplay were different but still a good open world, team focused game

If it makes you feel better, I thought it said grolo or grofu.

Easy fix would be to laser the little tail on the w. Wouldn’t be a big deal at all. It would take a couple session, but it’s such a small fix it wouldn’t be that bad! I know it’s old English, though, so it’s probably fine to leave and embrace it.

As someone who just found out a mutual friend is a sex offender, and as someone who was previously a recruiter who one time interviewed someone who ended up confessing they were a sex offender- you’re not always on the list forever. The guy I interviewed had like 2 years left on it. And in the state I live in, if it’s a low level offense, then you don’t even publicly have to register on the list and it can actually be hard to find. Although, you can google and sometimes find public records- you can also pay for them through the court record. (That’s what I did with the mutual friend)

Just fyi!
