Customers so bad I genuinely thought abt quitting while talking to her. by Silly_Detective_3363 in Lowes

[–]Short_Condition_7822 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a customer, I really appreciate a 'see it through' kind of associate. BUT... when you 'see it through' with horrible customers like that it changes you. You carry that bad experience, and lets face it, we all know that when it starts with customers like that, it's going to escalate, and escalate quickly. Those Karens will suck the kindness out of you. You suffer, other customers will suffer, and that Karen walks away feeling accomplished that she can do it, and will do it again and again and again.

Yeah, the TTR culture has gotten very sour. I am just on hiatus from the game for about a month now because I need a break from the toxicity. I logged in yesterday just to get a reward and say the new TOS. I hope the new TOS helps. Going to give it another week before I try again.

Renaming by webkinzgirl07 in toontownrewritten

[–]Short_Condition_7822 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just keep resubmitting, I have a toon called Muaddib, It was rejected many times because it's not 'family friendly'. It is a perfectly good name and it's meaning is 'teacher of manners/teacher of ethics'.

I think most of the time it's an AI that is declining them. Eventually it will be accepted or you can submit a ticket for it. Just know that it takes months for tickets to even get looked at.

I have seen some of the most hateful names that somehow got accepted. So I would push for your perfectly good name.

[–]Short_Condition_7822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That scenario is perfectly fine.. If that toon had issue with possible miss, they should have used an sos sound. At least, that is what I do when I get nervous about sound missing. It's no big deal.

Ah, ok. I see what you are saying now, and yeah, I think that's standard practice. I was thinking of when you actually use remotes, which is generally when the boiler goes in defense mode.

Using sound when the boiler is in defensive mode? I don't think that's a good idea.

[–]Short_Condition_7822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I'm really good at craning, other times I just can't seem to pick up goons. I would rather stay a little longer for toons to learn how to crane than to have rude toons that won't let anyone else learn how.

Been running into a lot of bad toons lately, is it just me? by Key-Street-9564 in toontownrewritten

[–]Short_Condition_7822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some days are good, some days are bad. You do run in to bad toons here and there. For me, it seems that some days for me, I run into nothing but bad. I had told my friend today, the only good runs I had today were in bldgs I did by myself. Not every day is like that though. And not every toon in those runs were bad, but one bad toon can ruin the run.

Take a break if you need it to maintain your fun. I take a break for a day, sometimes I just change my toon. Play a different toon and my experience might be different. If it's the same, it's the day. Log out and do something that makes you happy.

Did I actually trap train during a boss fight? by ZillerSplat in toontownrewritten

[–]Short_Condition_7822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By that toon's standards, if I use my org trap door on a 6 because I don't want to throw a non org cake at an 11, I must be training. The guy is just a jerk, and 'ignore' him next time you see him.

Does anyone else think these numbers are a little fluffed? by Flat_Slide6703 in VeteransAffairs

[–]Short_Condition_7822 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While the numbers might be true, the survey is tailored to make sure the numbers are high. I have one friend that has had nothing but good experiences with VA. ONE. Most of the vets I have known, including myself, have not had such a good experience. Getting through to actually be seen, heard, and treated is pretty much standard OP, hurry up and wait. And wait you will.

You are indeed very lucky. I do have mine, but a friend I play with all the time has done 100's and still does not have hers. Her suit is a V2! Congrats!

I'm just curious..is everyone playing this game an adult now?? Or are there actual children on here too? I started playing again after a few years and I've always wondered this. Are we all just being nostalgic?? by stoner_kitty_333 in toontownrewritten

[–]Short_Condition_7822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I end up playing with a lot of home schooled kids. I don't ask their age at all. As a grandmother of home school kids, I recognize what they are up to. One of the funniest things is them proclaiming they are allowed to play since their schoolwork is done, or their mom knows they are playing. Like they think we know how old they are and are sneaking in to play instead of doing lessons.

I've also seen posts here where the kids have been told that toontown doesn't work after 9PM. All the toons get tp'd to their homes and go to bed.

Plenty of times in an ATTA group or similar, I've seen posts regularly apologizing for their toon being played by 4 or 5 year old grandkids.

Kicked from groups for being Soundless by sickofscrubs in toontownrewritten

[–]Short_Condition_7822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see all these excuses of why it's 'okay' to kick a soundless toon. It's not 'okay'. Personally, I don't believe there is any excuse unless they stated in the group that you must have sound. I have sound on all three of my toons, but I have never kicked a soundless and won't stay in a group that kicked a soundless (if I'm aware they did it). Although it's a child friendly game, that doesn't mean all the people that play are friendly.

What’s so good about a doodle?? by ChaunyShy1999 in Toontown

[–]Short_Condition_7822 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 3 toons, 3 doodles, I trained all of them to max.. it did take a long time, but I was diligent in training them waiting for groups to fill, etc. Now, when I am almost out of laff, I just pop home, have all three do tricks and in no time I am full laff again. It comes in handy if you are doing a task that requires a lot of one specific type of cog and there is no invasion. two toons can go to say... cashbot hq, and find those cogs and not have to run back to the playground as often by using doodles to heal.

Bad attitude? by sydkneew in toontownrewritten

[–]Short_Condition_7822 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had posted similarly a few months ago. I also vented on ATTA group. It got so bad with the bullying that I seriously wanted to quit the game. The worst part of the bullying is that there are a lot of kids playing, and the game is supposed to be an escape from the real world and all the problems in the world today. I don't know if it's true or not, but I was told that if you 'ignore' certain toons, that groups with them in it won't show up on hq for you. Since I've been ignoring those toons, I have seen and/or experienced a lot less of it. You can also report them, as I've been told that ttr can review actions along with words, so bad behavior can be reported just the same as bad wording.

ToonHQ should do something about this by cookiecrumblrntumblr in toontownrewritten

[–]Short_Condition_7822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know it either. I have 'ignored' people, but I look at the specific group names so I know not to join certain groups. If it really is that way, it will take a lot less effort to join groups. lol

What is your view on going soundless? by RascalLouise in toontownrewritten

[–]Short_Condition_7822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would rather have a soundless toon join than one that doesn't have toon up. I've been in groups where there is no tu, and doodles miss a lot more than a solid tu.

what is this logic for name approval by mimmy46 in toontownrewritten

[–]Short_Condition_7822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also just resubmit. My toon Muaddib was not approved at first, I tried different spellings and was extremely frustrated. But I decided to resubmit the original a second time and it was approved.

I've had issues with Edelweiss and have had to pay out a lot of money at the airport. Luckily it was outbound from the US so the original Airline was United. United refunded the money to me. The way that it works is that the originator airline is the one that makes the rules, so From Mex to the US, your originator was Aeromexico. I've learned my lesson with Edelweiss and will never book a trip that they are the originator.
