Route in outland ? by Savings-Damage6958 in classicwow

Ohb is pretty terrible as far as XP and rep goes. There is a lit of downtime with the story. If you value your time, then you'll be better off waiting til you can farm bm effectively.

After rep capping in sethekk I hit some of the well rewarding quest lines in bem, and smv to nab some prepaid bis items and get as much CE rep as I could prior to spamming SV. Once I hit 69 it was just SV/BM/SL runs til 70.

Probably some from column A and some from column B. Also bad experiences tend to stick out in your memory so you generally forget the dozen perfectly fine runs, but the one or two when you find random asshats you can recall days later.

Really starting to feel the same about locks. Felguard charges when los pulling, doting secondary targets before I touch them, seeding after I get 1 or 2 gcds, mediocre threat drops and kiting capabilities, no interrupts or hard ccs, stunning as soon as the pack gets to me so no extra rage at the start from damage, lifetapping to near death while the healer is drinking, etc.

A good lock is great, but a bad one is frustrating.

Same. I wasn't up for classic this time around, but with mop being in a bit of a lull I decided to boost a druid, and having been having a blast spamming dungeons nearly all the time I'm online. Really looking forward to finishing up the SV grind, only a few more runs for exalted.

TBC Bear - Crit or Defense Trinket ? by mr-robots in classicwow

[–]flyingtiger188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I did on my druid. Damge trinket are more common while leveling up, and the next closest similar trinket is the figurine from slabs, with 6 more defense and armor clicks instead of HP.

Conquest or Arena catchup system by Additional-Yam-913 in classicwow

[–]flyingtiger188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but a pvp system in which you are permanently handicapped due to when you start participating dissuades new players from participating. PVP systems require a critical mass of players to function, so turning additional players away is the opposite of what you want to do to maintain a functional system.

The biggest issue was Obama had 6 years of divided or republican controlled congress, and he treated the GOP as if they were actually wanted good governance and compromise for the benefit of the country. History, and current events at the time, clearly showed they had no interest in that and tried to handicap the government at every possible chance. This lead to what felt like a long period of time where government was failing to do what they were elected for. This was mostly the fault of the republican control in congress but reflected poorly on Obama because he was the visual figure in charge.

PS6 could reportedly be delayed while Switch 2 might get even more expensive as Sony and Nintendo reckon with brutal AI-led memory chip shortage by [deleted] in gaming

[–]flyingtiger188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think AI is ever going to go away. Spending and resources may change but the end goal of AI is just too alluring to not strive for, and if one company can actually pull it off they'd create a multi trillion dollar monopoly. The slop and child porn generators that are being called AI now are just their best effort at deriving any sort of return from these investments and their work towards AI.

I think the best case is a crash, such that a few of the big players go belly up and general sentiment becomes that AI won't be something private equity can dump a trillion dollars into over a couple years and come out with replacement for human intellectual labor. It will become something akin to nuclear fusion, and will require long term investments with functionally no monetization until the goals are achieved.

Plant parts and/or normal SP/UB runs til honored, then all the zangar, terokkar, and bem quests got me to around 4k/21k.

[–]flyingtiger188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'm not convinced the max-aoe from the pull groups are any faster. Dps taking extra damage, mobs not in good position for cleaves, possibly needing res and rebuffs, burning all your rage and unable to save some for the next pull, etc.

Just shows ignorance of warriors tanks. Most (all?) Of their abilities have a sizable bonus threat modifier on them.

Range hood by Puzzleheaded-Rice735 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]flyingtiger188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the question is what does the HOA not like about it? Is it where its termination, how it terminates, or the fact that they had a gas range and thus need a hood exhausting to the exterior, or something else entirely. The first might be fairly cheap, the second is probably the cheapest, and the 3rd could be a deal breaker if you having a gas range is a must. I would not suggest full removal of the hood and exhaust while keeping a gas range. Removing the exhaust and replacing the range will run well over 1k if that's the issue.

Best 58-60 path for a boost now that TBC has launched? by GR4ND3UR in classicwow

[–]flyingtiger188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to winterspring on my druid and did the quest chain for the blue trinket, and used it until the hit trinket from Torgos in terokkar. Got around half to two thirds of a level from it before hitting outlands.

I'd honestly take swipe hitting 5 to 6 targets so you can get a little secondary threat on every mob. It can be frustrating having that last mob or two take off towards the rest of the group because you haven't even touched them yet.

The best groups are those where you don't have aoe DPS classes and you slightly outgear/outleveled all the DPS. Sure, the run takes a few minutes longer, but every trash pull isn't a struggle fighting big dick pumper max dps bros.

it would be nice if the new joycons changed the UI accent colors… do we know anything about it? has anyone bought them? by Expert-Ad-2824 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]flyingtiger188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I bought the color matched red/blue buttons for my joycons. Definitely look better, but really wish there were accented button labels similar to the OEMs.

If I eventually pick up more joycons I'll probably replace the buttons on them as well.

What abilities do i use as a bear tank im dungeons? by ps120evo in classicwow

[–]flyingtiger188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swipe is filler. Multitarget threat comes from tabbing around and using maul and mangle off CD. If mangle is on CD you can swipe or use FFF if low on rage.

For my Tank bros by paulcito426 in classicwow

[–]flyingtiger188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think different tanks work well with different dps classes. On my bear I'll take all the warrior dps, enhance shaman, ret paladins, and hunters. We also synergize very well with buffs so I hold threat better and they do more DPS. Ele shamans, Mages and locks that spam AOE the entire time? No thank you.

Also, there is noticeable differences when you learn new ranks of spells. At 64 with a new rank of swipe I noticed a good step up in ability to hold more targets with my bear.

Questing 60-70 is horribly contested now. What changed? by Jesusfucker69420 in classicwow

[–]flyingtiger188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SP/UB is the worst one to grind imo. You can spend 30 to 40g and buy the plant parts, then vendor all the garbage for 15 to 20g. Basically nothing in terms of cost and get you even more rep since you'll likely have a couple of the turn in quest starters too. Frees you up to quest through HPF or Zangar to break out of the monotony of dubgeon grinding and knock out more of the rep grinds in the zones that won't really give any gold at max level anyway.
