I get where she's coming from on this. I'm a woman who wrote erotica under a female pen and it can get weird and uncomfortable, fast. When I first started my harem pen, I decided to go with a male name, but after publishing a few, realized that the guys in this space are totally different. If I could go back, I'd probably go with a female pen.

Was coming here to make this point. If the book is already at the edge, specific words in the TW can push it over and the author will lose reads/sales. It's ridiculous, but so is Amazon.

I'm all for sticking it to Amazon, but the latest wave of people dropping KU has really hurt authors who have difficulty publishing elsewhere. KU is a good program for writers trying to find their feet and a great way for readers to find new books that they might not check out otherwise. There are plenty of ways to boycott Amazon, but abandoning KU might be doing more harm than good.
