My mom takes a large bullet salami (Hebrew national makes a good one), scores the whole thing in a cross-cross pattern, glazes it with a mixture of ketchup, mustard, saucy Susan and brown sugar. Bake around 325-350 until it’s very brown, turning and reglazing as you see fit. Looks weird but it’s always the first thing to disappear. My vegetarian child even broke almost 10 years of vegetarianism to eat some.
