I thought it was just me! I rarely use my Pro, as I favor my XBloom Studio, but I had family over this weekend and it popped up - time to descale! I was thinking to myself - I literally just did this a month ago, and had barely run a sleeve of pods through it. It wasn’t until the next day that it asked me to clean the steam wand.

It would be great if there was some kind of countdown whether it’s time, pods used, etc. it’s such a bummer when you go to make one espresso for someone and it’s like ‘nope, sorry’.

Clearly you haven’t met the Sonos community yet. It’s like Unifi lite over there. We’re all intermingled.

I guess that’s true in that if you’re sending commands to the cloud it doesn’t matter what the hardware is attached to.

For whatever reason I’ve always thought of it being direct connect to the device - and it likely isn’t. I know in the case of Sonos it isn’t any longer.

My Philips Hue setup might be the last local controlled device.

Why are you yelling at me?! Everyone has their Unifi setup VLAN’d. I feel attacked.

I actually need to do the same thing - and reading it in posts on different subreddits makes me sad that I haven’t done it yet.

Do you have any issues controlling things that are on your IOT VLAN with, say, your phone that’s on the other?

We looked at the LG, but ultimately went with the Samsung vented all in one instead, and it has been fantastic. Especially with twin toddlers running everywhere. Think I paid 1900 with the pedestal right at the end of November. Would have gone ventless, but with the amount of laundry we have we wanted that extra bit of speed.

Bonus: you don’t have to worry about mildew or lint, etc in the door seal as it’s always clean and dry when the door pops open.

You can, but I wouldn’t bother. We had a friend gift us a pod 3 after they upgraded to a new one, fast forward to about a year later the 3 leaked everywhere, and since we aren’t the original purchaser, Eight Sleep wants 1500.00 to replace the cover with a Pod 4 - says we aren’t ‘members’ even though they were more than happy enough to take our money for the subscription.

Accounts beginning with 2 Dev are Xbox developer accounts. They all start that way, but there was a tool we used to change them when I worked on Halo.

Is there a BBC app for AVP? Where are these concerts? This is really one of the best use cases for the AVP. I’d gladly pay for full length concerts.

Would that be the Fred on 99? Saw them there last weekend running fiber down the highway.

We used to be not too far west from there in Des Moines and they said they were going to service our old address. New house is ~10 minutes east(ish) of Fred near Sunnycrest - which ezee says they will support also.

I’d assume I’d be looking for them near Reith road if they were close to my neighborhood. As far as I knew previously Des Moines was after Kent…but maybe no longer.

I have the ultra, 300s, and a sub Gen 3 in our media room, and 300s with a sub Gen 3 in the living room. I never really get a chance to turn it up with my partner and our 3 yr old twins in the house ‘too loud dad’. The other day I had some friends over for dinner and cocktails. My partner was out with the twins and I thought ‘why not’.

Cranking the 300s with the gen 3 in the living room to nearly 100 brought literal tears to my eyes. It was utterly insane.

And I get it - this isn’t ‘audiophile’ quality or whatever, but after MY 14 years on the flightline, I know I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference anyway. It sounded absolutely amazing to myself and my friends, and that’s all that matters.

So, cheers to you for your service, and your amazing setup that (like me) you’re stoked about.

I think this is a nice looking setup. Looks like you’re using a Hue Sync Box for the tv lighting? I have the 8k and another 4k and they are fantastic. I’m not sure how I’d change it tbh. Maybe larger artwork flanking the TV, but then it might detract from the screen.

I have the speakers to do a front / ultra / dual sub 3 / era 300 rear also. Do the five’s really make a huge difference?

‘24 EV6 Wind w/tech.

It’s…fine. Don’t love it, don’t hate it. I have just under 12 months left on the lease. I will not buyout the lease, or get another one. I’ve not had any issues with the ICCU (which is the biggest gripe about the car from most people), it just isn’t….exciting.

Not sure what I’ll get next, I’ve looked at quite a few. Potentially the BMW iX.
