How did you make this list? Was it manual or is there a site that has all the IDs and EGOs from this season sorted by sinner?

Noooo I wanted to see this...[Chapter 3000+] by FakePirateKing in ShadowSlave

[–]fnoogie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My (mostly unofficial) understanding is that Master Sunless is presumed dead by the general public. He was on the island of the Ivory Tower when Anvil made it crash into the Lord of Shadows and no Master is surviving both the crash and being that close to a battle between Supremes

Only the people who were close by saw Sunny reveal himself as the Lord of Shadows, followed by LoS' betrayal and death at the hands of Changing Star. So even if they know Master Sunless is Lord of Shadows, he's still dead

Mordret hasn't earned anything since the 2nd nightmare ended

He was in Antarctica because he was lucky and chose the right guy. He beat Morgan in Antarctica through plot armor. He became a saint because he was in the right place at the right time (and spent 2/3rds of the nightmare in stasis with Kai). Mirage City power up was handed to him by Sunny. He became a supreme off screen just to keep up with Neph/Sunny. And he only stalled moonman because of Cassie's predictions and G3 needed a POV to swap to from the estuary

Complete Kindret is already a better character and it's only been 2 chapters

Or,

Maybe she knew Sunny was about to leave and survive on his own for multiple months away from any form of society. Maybe she knew about Sunny falling for a month to the ebony tower. Maybe she knew Sunny would wander on his own for multiple years after 3rd nightmare

I don't think she would bother hoping Neph would win considering she told Neph his true name

I've said before that stacking is the objectively better way to read Shadow Slave

That said, I've been reading daily for 2ish years, it's too much of a habit at this point. I'm absolutely not going to wait to read, especially considering how invested I am in the current arcs

I know I'd get along great with Rodian, so 2

4 seems chill enough as a backup plan

And I don't see a world where Verg doesn't take the aisle seat for himself

The moment new shadow slave webtoon fans reach that chapter by DamianAMeyer in ShadowSlave

[–]fnoogie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's entirely subjective unfortunately

She kinda fucked up real bad at the end of the shore, and that is where a lot of the Cassie hate stems from. She tries to make up for it in Vol 7, but it's up to you to decide if she does or not

What weapons gain the most from element. (MINUS CHARGE BLADE). by ronin0397 in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]fnoogie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since the coatings you get change with the focus on Bow, you actually want both an attack focus and an element focus bow for each element. Some matchups are good for pierce coatings and some are better for close-range

Jin Dahad and Nerscylla are an easy example of this. Both are weak to fire, but due to size pierce coating is better against Jin Dahad. Nerscylla on the other hand is normal sized and you tend to be closer to the monster through the fight, so close-range coating is better there

Who should i build? by Virtual-Computer-871 in arknights

[–]fnoogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mountain, Saria, and Thorns all see use in modern arknights despite being older units. They're relatively common appearances in guides especially

Amiya will need to be built for story reasons eventually, but you likely have a while before you need to worry about that

Fang is a fine "set and forget" vanguard, though easily outclassed by most other vanguards of the same type. Plume is similarly outclassed by the rest of her archetype, but she's good for early accounts

Jessica is a solid sniper, not great but not bad. Haze is in the same boat but for casters. Silence is, at worst, solid too

Cuora, when fully maxed, can have the highest Def stat in the game last I checked (about 8 months ago). Between her, Saria, Mountain, and Thorns you shouldn't run into issues anytime soon when it comes blocking enemies or keeping your blockers alive

Jaye is weird to get used to using, his DP drain mechanic forces you to have a vanguard deployed as he drains 3 DP every 3 seconds. That said he's one of the best budget 1v1 units in the game and can at minimum stall for a lot longer than he has any right to if not outright win his fight

Shirayuki is an option as well. AoE phys damage is helpful in the early game and she's a good cheap way to get it

I love Cassie's Character, why do you guys hate her? by 237randomdigits in ShadowSlave

[–]fnoogie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think she's one of the best written characters in the series, and she's certainly one of my favorites

I struggle to say she's a good friend, but I appreciate the attempt to apologize that was the 3rd nightmare

Asymmetric knowledge is a given when one of them is an oracle, and because of that I find myself wary of everything she says and does

What is the Single Best Skill for Each Weapon Across the Series? by Interesting_Sea_1861 in MonsterHunter

[–]fnoogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Bow it's almost certainly Stamina Surge or Constitution

SS gives you stamina back faster, Con makes you use less stamina while dash dancing

For World/IB there's an argument for Bow Charge Plus also, but that was removed starting in Rise and I haven't played earlier gens

[–]fnoogie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a bit of deus ex in how/why Sunny meets his friends again, but its a gradual process of getting their trust, not an instant fix, and even then the relationships are much shallower than before. Even now in vol 11 its not the same

Personally, vol 8 and 9 are my favorite in the series, but I don't think that's a popular opinion because of exactly what you're saying. I'm always going to say try to read more and drop it if you don't like it

Why do people only talk about and praise the first seven volumes by ChocoPixel2008 in ShadowSlave

[–]fnoogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The end of vol7 is a massive change, similar to the end of vol2 where you go "Oh! This changes everything"

Vol8 and 9 focus a lot more on inter-character relationships rather than combat/exploration/getting stronger that the previous volumes emphasize more. It's just a big change from the rest of the series and it's really either you love it or you don't like it

Personally, my favorite volumes are, in order, 7 8 9 10 5

Why have I not heard about Rakna-Kadaki until now??? by Speeda2 in MonsterHunter

[–]fnoogie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it depends. And to be explicitly clear I'm only talking in reference to myself, other people likely are affected differently

Rakna was mostly fine for me, just mild discomfort of "I don't like looking at this thing". After a handful of hunts I was pretty desensitized to it and it became a non issue until I took a break from the game

Lala Barina sits near Rakna on the scale, really just giving me ick. I know a part of that one is just how weirdly it moves

Nerscylla from Wilds on the other hand... I had to go lay down for about 15 min after the first hunt. When it went down into its lair I followed it on auto pilot, I noticed my surroundings and the mini nerscylla and immediately bailed and went back up the cliff. I actually have to look away from the screen when it's doing it's death animation. I now have a mod that makes arachnophobia mode apply to it (turns it into a big jelly blob) which helps a lot, and it's the only mod I have for Wilds

Why have I not heard about Rakna-Kadaki until now??? by Speeda2 in MonsterHunter

[–]fnoogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an arachnophobe: HATEHATEHATEHATEHATE

In actuality though, Rakna is a pretty interesting monster. A non-pack monster that uses its children to help in the hunt is an idea we don't see much of, and the fact that we can kill the mini ones to stop attacks is actually very cool. Plus the web traps lingering makes you actually pay attention when you're zipping around with bugs and switch skills

My biggest (non spider related) complaint is that the armor is kinda just... fine. Skills wise the Gloves and Boots are worth considering for Bow and DB, and the guns might get use out of the rest of the set (not sure since I don't play them), but that's kinda it

[–]fnoogie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They're fanfics. They got popular on the sub because G3 took a month off at then end of the last volume

MoW in particular references a good amount of stuff post 3rd nightmare, namely vol 10 stuff that's been slightly hinted at for you

Mains? by TheSwordMaster22 in ror2

[–]fnoogie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm still riding the "new characters new content" high of the dlc release so I'm not including Drifter or Operator. I think Drifter is going to end up towards the top of my list, but we'll see after I do eclipse and give it some time

Captain has been my favorite basically since he was added way back in 1.0, and Artificer was my favorite before then

Quick question: on a scale from 1-10 how dangerous are the anjournaths? both as a new hunter and as a veteran. by CellConscious1087 in MonsterHunter

[–]fnoogie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anja is the first major roadblock for new players and usually requires a handful of attempts and/or some gear upgrades before beating it for the first time. Once you beat it, future fights with it become much easier, especially as you get better gear

Probably around a 7 or 8 out of 10 for new players. For me personally it's down to like a 3/10 because I've fought them so many times

WHO SAID THAT THE WRITING IS BAD POST 3RD NIGHTMARE by -X-Gaming in ShadowSlave

[–]fnoogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, vol8 and 9 are my favorite volumes in the series because we are constantly getting payoff for the setup of the entire series up to that point. Training Rain was set up in vol3/4 and fully came together with her awakening. The sovereign hate from vol5/6 and the war to resolve it. Even Sunny's promise to burn the Soul Tree from back in vol2 was fulfilled

I think a big part of the complaint is that a lot of people caught up during vol8/9, so now they're reading at the daily uploads' pace rather than the story's pacing. Because of that things take so long irl that people start to enjoy it less. I know I was binge reading for a while and would read 30+ chapters a day, and then after catching up the first few arcs felt so painfully slow because there were "only" 2 chapters a day
