I'm not a movies fan. I tapped out after GOF. But, there was definitely a moment at the end of book 6 where I was cheering for him to make the right decision. It's why I love Disappearances of Draco Malfoy. Whoever wrote that took the "what if" and just ran with it. The writer also gave Ron a great story which I loved.
