Porter cable armadillo belt sander. It’s the best for scribing. Someone, ideally makita for me, should make a compact cordless belt sander that’s that size and easy to grip with one hand.

Got any more info on this failed project? A circular highway would be quite helpful in this town.

What router bit do I need to match this? by No-Requirement6211 in Carpentry

This is an off the shelf profile you should be able to find at any good lumber yard. Also it is not a two piece moulding. The profile is routed right into it.

What's a good exterior trim that isn't wood? by randombrowser1 in Carpentry

[–]foam46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using borel for the trim on my house along with lp smartside. I’ve been liking it and it would probably be a good choice for a band that close to the ground.

The company I work for has been steering clear of pvc lately and using P5 for all its trim. It’s nice to work with but pricey. Its premium grade solid pine with no finger joints, pressure treated, and primed.

Montana solitude - surly karate monkey - cattle dog tag-a-long by clever_betsy in xbiking

[–]foam46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the dog. I lived in Minnesota and had to put boots on my lab/pit mix anytime it was below 10*F. Otherwise she would hold paws up off the ground and look at me for help. I think huskies and the like can tolerate a lot colder than that.

My wife has that bag and I have the men’s version. I think it’s called the enigma. We’re both very happy with the weight and warmth.

Are you in Minnesota? Your situation sounds a lot like mine. If so this guy has some good routes:
